yeah there is no way these guys go to jail. The 20 day "house arrest" is probably trying to save face for public because it would be a bad look for police to let these guys go and arrest if a Chinese person does this. I read that even house arrest they can go outside to restaurants near by lol

I read that Trump's trip was in the news WAAAYYYY more than this in China too. They said the players incident has been able to go under the radar because of all the trump hoopla. So maybe they figure they can stay on good terms of UCLA, Pac-12, etc etc and not piss off their citizens since they not really paying attention anyway
