@Leyet, Why Place Emphasis On Alternative Methods As A Viable Way Of Treatment?

I see you touting strange alternatives (rubbing guava oil on your chakras to cure a fever, vibrating penal glands with quartz crystals for insomnia, meditating on rainbows to stop glaucoma and all sorts of foolishness) to time and tested treatments all the time.

What good do you bring to the world touting that kind of nonsense.

A Doctor knows all that can be done in helping a broken bone is to set it in place and maybe mitigate the pain, with pain relievers. You seem to have some sort of vendetta of all things medical? Why is this?

Because he's an absolute moron and a liar.

The sooner you put him on 'Ignore' the better your reading experience will be in here.

If 'alternative' treatments were viable, they wouldn't be called 'alternative'. They'd just be treatments.

Like modern medicine wasn't born out of alternative medicines and ancient remedies.

Anything acute will need more potent and traditional remedies, but mild or chronic ailments can benefit from alternative or traditional medicines. If you guys know like I know, medicine only aids the body by remedying a chemical or hormonal imbalance.

Prevention is always better than the treatment, and alternative medicine blows traditional out of the water when it comes to prevention.

I suspect most of you guys only have a basic understanding of health and medicine. I give LeyeT props because he is pretty knowlegable, he is bias too, but he has done his research.

Modern medicine is born out of the knowledge of botany and chemists ability to isolate a plants useful properties and perhaps synthesize them. A proper soup broth is more helpful than rubbing juniper berries on your navel to cure an upset stomach. Every year they come out with these insane ideas like ultra raw vegan low sodium no carb diet to cure cancer and all sorts of nonsense. Really to get rid of an overgrowth of cells all I have to do is eat echinacea leaves with miso soy butter?

A doctor mitigating pain does more for your body in helping it become healthy than licking raspberry ketones from a kangaroos a$$hole.

Don't forget they also looked at how these medicines interacted or influenced different physiologic processes in the body.

But doctors discovered diabetes and how to treat it with having to ever step inside a lab to synthesis a single thing. And of course you know the story of penicillin.

Also, eating or drinking Aloe is much better for an upset stomach.

Yeah because aloe is such an accessible item right?

I'm from the idea that pharmaceuticals expedite the process of waste elimination (the natural metabolic process) and surgery fixes and repairs. Nothing more.

I akin Doctors and the medical industry to mechanics and oem part suppliers.

What are you talking about? I can only suspect you know nothing about medicine or you are in high school. And you coming at LeyeT?

I had a lady who walked into my pharmacy with an asthma attack, her inhaler didn't work, so I told her to go to the hospital so they can put her on oxygen, steroids, and anticholinergics. Her situation had nothing to do with anything metabolic.

Also, you can walk into any Walgreens and buy Aloe juice for $6.99.

modern medicine is very good with that sort of intensive care intervention

what it's not good with is managing chronic issues

you walk into the average MD with fatigue, allergy triggered issues, gut issues etc a lot of them got nothing for you but crazy prescriptions or surgeries

I think we definitely need more integrative and preventive and holistic care

Modern medicine uses a lot more tial-and-error processes than they would like to admit to, but I've seen many of the "alternative methods" debunked time and time again.

Trial-and-error? No, they used evidenced based medicine. You need the data and research.

Also, who are exactly debunking alternative methods? Also, alternative medicine and natural remedies play a big part in modern medicine, especially in heart disease, diabetes, arthritis and mental illness.

Oh, of course they learn from trial and error, but my point is they don't know everything for every application. They try stuff based on their medical knowledge and experience.

No he doesn't. Leyet said he would drink liquid chlorophyll to cure cancer. Leyet said a boy with a bruised spinal cord that was mostly paralyzed shouldn't get screws and plates inserted to help regain movement like a team of doctors recommended and should take herbs and see a holistic healer. He's an imbecile through and through. My 2 year old niece is more knowledgeable on medicine than him.

It doesn't work like that, any doctor basing his career on trial and error would not go very far. Trial and error is only done in research, not medical practice.

You have people who has formed a whole new religion around chlorophyll, way before him. I'm not moved by their arguments, until there is proof.

I debated him on SOHH in that same thread. I understand his point of view, and he agreed that if you go that route you should go to someone who is experienced in Alternative Medicine and spinal injury. Modern medicine will provide better outcomes, though.
