LOL @ you feeling the need to cuss but I'm the bytch you sensitive switch walking azz fakkit. He made 70k cause he's NOW lex luger.

We were talking about why artists don't sign the best paperwork out the gate. Which is because if they try to go that route, they will be walked out the gate.

You the one sound mad :dawgumad:

LOL @ you thinking you some industry expert...it's called common sense. I got no sympathy for some nikka getting fukked over when he should have his paperwork in order.

But I learned to never argue with a fool because onlookers may not be able to tell the difference. I'm out. :yeshrug:

Thank you man. This what I always say in this post as soon as the coli intellectual property experts come out the woodwork. HE WAS A NOBODY GOT FLOWN TO WAKA HOUSE AND PUT ON. IF HE ASKED FOR JEW-UNIT AND A PROPER LAWYER HE WOULDA BEEN DROPPED OFF AT GREYHOUND AND TOLD TO FIND HIS WAY HOME.

It's the same dudes everytime. "He shoulda had a lawyer woo woo." Yes we know Deb n Birdman got that rep but at the same time like homie said. You get flown to Mizay Island and it's hanging with Gucci riding round in Raris smoking loud living in a nice house or go back to McHicksville, VA, you would do the same thing and ride the wave.

Or if you insist you wouldn't, okay cool, you would be home back on youtube. It's really that simple 99% of the time.
but if you really believe in your talent and your grind, you know that if they drop you back home someone else will fukk with you sooner or later. it's all about knowing your worth and leverage. if you're saying that no one else would have fukked with him and that signing with known crooks without having a lawyer actually make sure everything was right was his best option at that point, then you gotta take the bad that comes with that "best option" as well.

I'm not saying that's not a option. But most times if a dude fall back you not going to see him again unless he fall back and then get the same option and choose differently the second time and signed the paperwork. The fucced up deal is essentially a rights of passage for first time artists few have avoided it but for some reason people act like the exception is just as frequent as the rule.

I feel you on that sentiment but. If you say "yeah, I'ma have my lawyer check this out." That's when that drop of to the greyhound comes. Or they will say, well we have a full staff of attorneys you can pick who you'd like, as Diddy did to The Band. Either way, as Nobody Squared you not coming into the situation asking for no lawyer and leaving as nothing other than Nobody Squared.

Last time this came up dude tried to say "These dudes be hot already!" What's hot already? Top 7 in their hometown? LOL. Okay and they can go right back there and maybe 8 years from now somebody one a Coli will be like "Hey for all my Humbugville homies yall remember "7dudes from the Bug" and their local joint "not for nothing" damn shame they ain't make it I member hearing they was in talks with Waka or Birdman and them.

im saying, i get the sentiment from folks who aint had shyt before

but i feel like yall are going way too far with the whole, if you say no, then youll be instantly sent home never to ever have a shot in the game again. it might cut you off from birdman, but not the whole game.

I'm not saying it will cut you off from the whole game but it will end that current situation. And next go round u likely to have the same amount of leverage with the next individual.

Cause they get to a point where they have more value due to their work not based on the affiliation that built them and say things like "i just made 70k without xyz" ok but if it wasn't for xyz would you have ever been in a position to make 70k? They feel like they deserve the whole apple because they grew the whole apple forgetting that somebody had to truck that apple to the store and convince them to put it on the shelf. In their mind all they are thinking is "man i grew this apple and i'm only getting abc amount. That's fucced up I'm the farmer everybody else just a leach!" so then at that point now with a relationship with the store and the trucking company they may try to put the apple on the shelf themselves.

exactly.

i'm not saying artists should or shouldn't sign these deals. ultimately it's up to them to know if it will have ended up to be a good move or not when the dust settles and you add up the plus or minuses. sometimes it makes sense despite them "getting screwed" (which is debatable). my only beef is them complaining after the fact when they actually chose it as if the labels, agents, managers, etc were running a charity. i feel like it's entitlement.
