The Takeover
Pre Hot Boys era CMR put out a lot of quality shyt too. UNLV, Pimp Daddy, Lil Slim, PxMxWx were going hard
Yeah all of UNLV's stuff is the shyt, Mannie Fresh did some of his best production on those albums. The Local 580 era of CMR was hard all around. I liked the first PxMxWX album Legalize Pass The Weed a lot that's another favorite of mine@AlbertPullhoez I used to cop random albums that I thought might be tight, so I had ended up getting B.G. It's All On U. Vol. 2 and was bangin Cash Money shyt before they got the deal. I remember seeing that Mr. Ivan 187 album and laughing so damn hard at it everytime I came to the record store until I looked at it one day and found out it was a damn Cash Money album also LOL. Old CMR went hard, especially Kilo-G and UNLV.

Yeah they put out an album in 1996 called A New Beginning and they put out another in 2000. Big Heavy (the hypeman in PxMxWx) put out a solo in 1996 too. Everybody basically was gone by or finally left the label in 1996Didn't PxMxWx release albums under another name after they left CMR?
If there is one album that introduced me to Texas Rap, it's gotta be this Yungstar album. It wasn't my first because I had that Big Pokey Hardest Pit In Da Litter and Lil Keke The Commission, but this was the one that made me really pay attention to the rap coming out of Texas beside the mainstream artists like UGK, Geto Boys etc.

The Hypnotize Camp Posse album was one of my favorite compilation cuts from that time frame.
