Wrestling fans complain to complain. Its annoying as shyt

I couldn't agree more. The most annoying part of wrestling is the proliferation of know-it-all fans who think watching a lot of wrestling makes them experts on everything and who think pointing out how much everything sucks/offering up declarations about how WWE "should have ______" makes them seem savvy and astute.

I wonder why some of these people even watch wrestling. Imagine wasting your life watching and discussing something you almost always think sucks.

The belt isn't atrocious now that I've had time to really see it. I can see why people are heavily disappointed though. They placed so much emphasis on a new title for the "new era" with a month long build and an unveiling ceremony speaking of "looking to the future". After all that, they release a color template remix of a current belt that had to take less than 2 minutes to create. :heh:

Every other fighting organization (UFC, WBC, WBA, IBF etc) has the same belts in the same colors, only wrestling is that i think

I LIKE the idea of the same belts with different color swaps so visually one isnt a jobber belt. I hope they change the tag belts similarly.

Yeah, I could be giving them way too much credit, but this could be looked at as them trying to avoid one belt having prestige over the other from the jump/them being "practical" altogether. Some might call it lazy, while others might call it intentional. In theory the emphasis can be placed more so on the title going forward as opposed to the lineage of said title. Either way they should not be internally burrying the belt. To be frank, this is one of the more problematic derivatives of having dual titles/a brand split. It's one thing for the fans to take sides, but it's completely different when the company pushes one title to the periphery in favor of another (As scene during certain periods of the earlier brand split iterations.).

I'm sorry

But these comments about it being lazy and uninspired and boring

Are kind of feminine and weak. its akin to 2016 movie critics...like what did you want. A laser to come out and project the name of the holder?

What im gathering is that the IWC wanted some sort of unique logo youve never seen BUT ALSO looks credible AND ALSO new and ALSO classic AND ALSO a unique color

Oh and it had to go to someone who you liked or else youd shyt on it too

Its insanity, the russos and HHHs of the world are amazingly being proven RIGHT when they say that this fanbase will bytch about EVERYTHING.

Its CLEAR they wanted the belts to be seperate and unique but also not be viewed as lesser. THATS why they went with the same style but inverse colors. ALSO why they did the same to the womans title.

100% facts. I really don't see how the belt looks terrible, it's literally just a red version of the other belt. It looks exactly the same.

It would have been better if they had literally just given SD the same belt with the only difference being a blue swish instead of a red one

What if they call the Smackdown women's belt. The women's universal championship :deadmanny:

If it's gonna be the same exact design I really would prefer that the champ could have simply been on both shows. Puts more value on the title, no chance of them pushing another title over it, and forces them to write angles around wrestlers and develop them instead of lazily wrote over a title.

Pretty much my thoughts on it. I literally just don't fukk with the color, and I think the name could've been better, but I just don't know what I'd name the Main Title of the brand when WWE World Champion is already on Smackdown. "Universal Champion" just sounds like it's trying to 1-Up "World Champion" instead of truly being it's own thing.

Butyeah they could've given that belt a brighter, hot red and it'd be fire with the black swoosh under the W.

For the record most people on here shyt on the original belt when the Rock first introduced it as well. I believe "looks like a fukking high school class ring" was the general opinion. It sucked then and it sucks now. They have no reason to be upset at fans voicing their opinions. If they boo something you want to get over, then do fukking BETTER.

That being said, booing throughout the match wasnt necessary. I personally hated the unveiling of the CWC trophy but i didnt let it ruin the matches for me. Boo the unveiling and get over it. Expecting the WWE not to be lazy is naive at this point anyway.
