Can't defend Lawler's performance for the last several years at all. If he's not gonna use his true talent, he has to go. But I do want to see that classic TV moment when he returns, at least.
Regal does a good job on NXT, mostly as a face with slight heel tendencies. I'd like to see him on Raw as a straight-up heel commentator.
When Cole plays it straight he ain't bad. If he has to be a heel, make him a manager or something. As a heel commentator he's pretty much unlistenable.
JBL is really good but isn't likely to be around long.
Somebody in another thread mentioned giving Road Dog a shot as a commentator and I'd be all for that. Considering what we have right now, it's worth a try.
Striker I liked at first, but after awhile he just came off as a sniveller.
Also, traditional face play-by-play and heel color is what works best. Let's get back to that formula.

His heel ass kissing was hilarious. But I knew the beginning of the end was coming when he didn't heel it up for the ETC.
