Unbreakable was my fav movie of his by far....low key one of the best Sam Jack performances ever. "They called me Mr. Glass". All time great scene right there :banderas:. Soundtrack was piff too. Sixth sense was classic also. Signs is a tier lower than those 2 but still a very solid flick. Crazy how he's made nothing but duds since then tho...we need a behind the scenes special on that shyt.

i even thought the village was dope, I had no idea that was gonna be the twist I was like :ohhh:

signs is still one of my favorite movies, 6th sense is obviously one of the scariest movies in my opinion. The fukking little girl who got poisoned by her mom :merchant: the kid who shot himself in the head and was like "come see my dads gun collection" :merchant: :merchant: one of the best portrayals of ghosts, absolutely terrifying.

and unbreakable is another movie that I've always loved. I rewatch 6th sense/unbreakable/signs on a semi-regular basis.

I've seen a film @MartyMcFly hasn't :ohhh: *world explodes*

I liked all Midnights early films (edit: I'm talking from sixth sense to the village). I even liked the village probably more than most. It's a shame how badly he fell off.
I am kinda similar never watched 6th sense then heard the ending so forgot about it..Loved unbreakable didn't care for signs then liked village. Haven't cared to peep another one of his films since (sans the happening and laughed at how bad it was)

I liked Signs, Unbreakable, The Village and even Lady in the Water(should have been marketed as being more so a kid's film).

I still give dude credit for being creative when it comes to film. I don't really hate the dude like so many people seem to. It's like so what he made a few films that weren't that good, and? Not everyone hits home runs all the time.

Unbreakable is still one of top 5 or 10 super hero films to me.

I hate how much hate this dude got/gets now. Like people kept expecting his films to be as big as The Sixth Sense was(which I still haven't seen). I still think he has some very original ideas and concepts for his films and is probably one of the most creative writers/directors who never actually gets any credit for it.

Also I still think the Happening should have promoted as a modern B-Movie that you aren't supposed to take seriously. His movies all suffer from this, they presented The Village like it was a straight up horror in the trailers but it's really more of a romantic drama.
I think that's what pisses ppl off he's always trying to deceive the audience like he did in 6th sense but marketing your films by straight up misleading your audience is a slippery slope

The happening is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It is truly horrible, not enjoyable at all.

I always thought signs would be considered a classic by more people if during the movie the Aliens was revealed to be demons.
:jbhmm:

Like all the major plot holes disappear instantly if that was revealed.
