I love listening to this album and other albums that came out during this time.

Y2K had everybody paranoid and you can hear the confusion in the music.

This one of my favorite Nas albums, for real. And I've been either smoking a blunt or toasting myself to New World every New Years Day for the last 12 years.

I can't cosign this thread. It's looked at as bc it is atleast in terms of NAS standards. Look some artist get held to a higher standard (is it fair...). IMO its his worse album...I know I don't listen to it.

This is true. Going by dude's logic, I Am would be looked at as trash as well, which most wouldn't agree with.

Nastradamus being garbage is the biggest lie in hip hop. It's that Takeover line that swayed so many people. I love Jay, but people need to stop blindly following everything he says.

Yeah, The Source gave it 3 mics because Jay let them hear Takeover two years early

Back to the topic, do Nas stans think they're being slick by making a thread every few days challenging the conventional thought about something Nas related? First Hero is dope now Nastradamus was good? But "Jigga warriors" are brainwashed and try to revise history, right?

you know what... I was sitting here trying to formulate an effective argument against what you said...

but you're right.

Nas really IS the only hip hop artist I know that...

you can always say and will ALWAYS hear "so-and-so fell off lyrically/albumwise"

with Nas, you only hear either he lost or he can do better, but NEVER "he fell off"

"Jigga Warriors" is a name that Nas stans made up for Jay-Z stans, hence the quotations. Jay-Z stans exist just like Nas stans. No slickness over here friend. Take King of Kings or whatever his new name is. He's a Jay-Z zealot.

this album aged well because had it dropped this year, people would hail it as a classic, lets be real, there was mad competition in the 90's which is why the sh*t that was considered wack back then would be considered Classic or Near Classic! just remember what the G.O.A.T.

I liked 9 outta 12 actual songs and like homey said, much of this album has actually aged quite well. When i go to his shows i'd much rather here Life We Chose, Family, Come Get Me---over Represent, One Love and World Is Yours
