I remember when all three members of The Shield came up, everyone was ranting and raving about how Dean Ambrose will be the star. Yet, here we are in 2015 and we see Seth Rollins as the WWE Heavyweight Champion and Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble & headlining Wrestlemania. Where's Dean Ambrose? He's pretty much a Roman Reigns lackey at this point.

A lot of smarks are complaining about how Dean Ambrose is being held back, but the fact of the matter is - he's god awful in the ring. He was a glorified garbage wrestler before the WWE, and he's not much more since signing that contract.

I'll give you a GIF breakdown of every Dean Ambrose match:

1) Bell rings and Ambrose immediately bum rushes his opponent with some of the worst punches ever thrown in the history of professional wrestling :scust:

2) He then proceeds to get beat up for awhile, something he's actually good at :beli:

3) He rallies a comeback by doing that stupid fukking clothesline between the ropes :snoop:

4) He makes some stupid fukking faces during the match. Some times it's funny, other times it's not :francis:

6) After all of these god awful spots, this is when he usually does his shytty finishing move or eats a pin

We can criticize Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns, but both of those guys have DRASTICALLY improved since being called up. Both of those guys have had memorable matches on their own. Ambrose hasn't had a good match without either of those two guys present. Rollins carried him during their feud.

Now, there's no denying Deano's charisma. But I'm sick of people whining about how he should be at the top of the card when he can't even put together a winning match formula. All of his matches are the same, and they all SUCK.

OP IS COMPLAINING THAT WRESTLING MATCHES START WITH A LITTLE BABYFACE OFFENSE, THEN THE HEEL GETS THE HEAT, BABY TEASES A BIG COMEBACK, COUPLE HIGHSPOTS, AND THEN A FINISHING SEQUENCE, BROTHER!

IF I ROLLED MY EYES ANY HARDER, MY BANDANA WOULD FALL OFF AND EXPOSE MY FULL HEAD OF HAIR, DUDE!

Funny, because two months ago, it was the exact opposite. In fact, Ambrose was in part used to help get Reigns over.
Let's not pretend that anytime the trio is involved in a match, that Dean hasn't been the crowd favorite.
The fatal four way a few months back? Ambrose was easily the babyface the crowd was behind.
He moved record amounts of merchandise last year and has consistently stayed more over with the crowd than either Rollins or Reigns.
His problem lies in the fact he's not the one they want to run with and his gimmick is too over the top.
He's the third wheel by proxy and to be completely honest, it's whatever.
He made comments in several interviews where he seemed more or less happy to be there.
I'm more in line with how Austin approached the businesses. If you don't want to be the man and aren't willing to step on toes - you're just happy to be on WWE television?
Then I have no idea why you're wasting your time. I can't stress about his booking if he himself doesn't care.
Reigns is his boy but If he doesn't care about being the third wheel and his lackey when he's capable of more, then why should Vince, the bookers, or any fan?
In a sense, I can't sweat the pecking order. I get that hunger for more vibe from Roman and Rollins.
Whether or not Reigns wants to be the best or "just the guy getting rich," he was legit pissed his initial push didn't pan out.
Whether or not Seth is the quintessential "future of the WWE" or a future midcarder, he believes with conviction that he's the most talented guy in the lockerroom.
I've never gotten that from Ambrose. Ever. He's comfortable being the Chris Bosh to Reigns and Rollins' LeBron and Wade.
If he's happy, I wouldn't push him or prioritize him over either of those guys either.

Throw Dean in a match with Brock and he has as many memorable Shield-free matches as Roman. :yeshrug:
