Carson > Fitz aka top 5 QB.
We use the W-L record to determine if the QB is *not* starting material, don't we?
What's the criteria? QB rating? Jersey sales?![]()
Carson is the white McNabb at this point.![]()
for what it's worth... Palmer accrued 20 of those L's on very bad raider teams...the fact they even went 8-8 the year Al died was some overachieving type shyt.
Palmer is washed, but still better than average...his play isn't even close to being worth that contract he signed.
the W-L record being a "stat" for QB's in the NFL is almost as bad as it is for MLB pitchers.
chill out brehCarson is the white McNabb at this point.![]()
He hasn't lived up to that trade but that's not his fault.
:thefucc:
but he the one who bytched and cried his way out of Cincy and forced whomevers hand. And he signed a big ass contract to play for Oakland.Did he tell the Raiders to trade him for 2 1sts?
But you have to admit Palmer isn't the type of QB that makes bad teams better. He's the guy that puts up 320 yards 2tds and 2 picks. Looks decent in the box score and will have you thinking "this poor b*stard needs help." But when you watch it, he throws for 80 yards and 2 picks in the first half, one goes back for a TD and the whole second half they are playing catch up so he piles up meaningless stats to lose by 14.
That's a given, it's just that nobody really wants to admit how bad the Raiders were to begin with.
Carson has always been that guy if you surround him with quality, he's gonna look great, and make them look great too.... he just doesn't have that dynamic factor to him like a Brees or a Peyton. he's not gonna make a so-so player look like he's underrated.
But the Raiders were flat out awful last season..and it was damn near the apex of nearly a decade of bad drafting, traded picks, underachieving players and albatross contracts( his being one of them)
He's pretty much Brett Farve, without the media's "Youthful passion" excuse for throwing picks and makingdecisions.
