I think a lot of this is true & it's not really accurate for people to say Pac influenced Biggie's style. Pac gave him advice on the business side of things but it's clear BIG took that advice & ran with it his own way. They were 2 different emcees. If you wanted to compare BIG's style he was a combo of these 3 ATG's:

1- Big Daddy Kane
2- Slick Rick
3- Kool G Rap

BIG was heavily influenced by those 3 & it's pretty obvious.
You can hear Pac's flow on some BIG tracks.

"Birthdays was the worst days, now we sip champagne when we thirst-aayy"

"Playa please, lyrically, nikkas see..."

That's just off the top of my head.

Not to mention subject matter and fashion

Nah fam. I just don't see or hear it. They're totally different & how they approached writing is the complete opposite

Subject matter and fashion? You can easily attribute that to the other NYC artists that came out around the same time. Ghostface and Rae, BDK, Kool G Rap, etc...

Nah...its definitely a double meaning there.

LAD came out in 97...likely the song was recorded in 96.

To say...."same night, same fight"...referencing a Tyson fight right about Pac got murdered after a Tyson fight is being slick.
That song was recorded before the Pac Shooting

That came from Big's own life experience & stress. Not having any money for his daughter, his mother having breast cancer & him saying he wasn't a good son, & always looking over his shoulder because of selling drugs. Having that kind of pressure at such a young age could cause some people on someday's to feel like they don't wanna live

He conveniently started rapping like that after Pac. And Easy Mo Bee was playing him the joints so he heard what Pac had in the bag

Nah we're gonna have to agree to disagree. Anyone going through what Big was would feel morbid at times. Doesn't mean he copied him

The only reaching that happens is you when Tupac or the west coast is involved. All logical thought is thrown out the window with you. As I said earlier in the thread Big was mainly influenced by Kane, Slick Rick, G-Rap, & Heavy D. You're acting like he couldn't relate his life experiences. Big selling drugs & possibly being suicidal had everything to do with him not wanting to do it but him saying he was forced to do it. And for the other reasons I said which you conveniently ignored. You're intentionally being obtuse
