Wardlow's gimmick wasn't going to cut it as he tries to step up and starts feuding with more important people. Goldberg is a once in a lifetime lighting in a bottle kind of thing and Wardlow was never going to be able to sustain his level of overness by just power bombing people in 5 minute matches. Specially on a roster full of internet darlings and wordclass wrestling talent. He has to face adversity and try to overcome it by developing some sort of character work. and he'll probably get a new look and presentation next.

If he fails, so be it. But the Wardlow that was massively over after the MJF feud wasn't going to last forever. Did TK fumbled his peak? No doubt he did. But this reset is something he was going to need anyway.

He needs a new theme & should ditch the singlet. I guess he'll get a haircut now too. He could probably benefit to have a manager. The problem is, there isn't really a babyface mouthpiece in AEW.
