Sonic as a chartacter is cooler but his games been with a few exceptions for 15 years now.

But lemme just point one thing out: Sonic was voiced by Jaleel White and had New Jack Swing music in the early games while Mario's an Italian Plumber from 80s New York City. Mr. Mario's in that prime demographic dontcha think

Honestly that’s not Sonics fault that’s the CEO of Sega America going from sega cd to Saturn to Dreamcast two fast because PSX had them ngas shook bad instead of staying in their lane like Nintendo did. The developers couldn’t keep up with the hardware changes to put out a AAA game past Adventures 2. Then once the ship fell all the good developers left to diff projects which is why Sega software ain’t been shyt.
