How would Westbrook's "triple doubles" help the Lakers at all?

Would you rather have Westbrook taking shots rather than Bron/AD?
Would you rather have Westbrook distributing the ball rather than Bron?
Would you rather have Westbrook taking rebounds away from Laker bigs?


If everyone stays healthy and Bron is still Bron at 37, I think this team might work. But it only works with really smart offensive sets AND Westbrook playing really smart, which is a huge if. Basically the offense has to be Bron and Westbrook continually driving and creating disruption, then kicking to Bron/AD/Westbrook cutting to take advantage of disruption.

Defense and shooting could be a real problem tho if they can't fill out well. You'd really want shooters if you're wasting a guard spot on Westbrook, but you need defenders too cause Westbrook ain't doing that and Bron is getting old af.

Regular season bball is so much different from playoff esp the deeper you go.
In playoffs it's not so much what you are good at but what you are deficient in. The other team really focuses on exposing your weaknesses. They put your weak defenders in pick and roll and attack them in every set play. They force your worst shooters to get the open shot.

I feel sabo makes the Lakers a better regular season team for sure. But for playoffs buddy would have been better fit.
Also this lebron's last year at top form. It's all downhill from here
