Let's say Trump wins and he gets to nominate 2 more conservative republican judges. What do you think this will mean for the black community?

Unlike the losers that are the DNC, the Pubs take advantage of any power given to them.

Ruth Ginsberg fiasco is a prime example

Is this something we should be talking more about?

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told an audience gathered at the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Orlando Monday that over the next two presidential terms, whoever is leading the nation could be responsible for picking successors for both Justice Samuel Alito and Justice Clarence Thomas.
“You can’t really do better than those two,” said DeSantis, who has previously praised both justices numerous times. “They are the gold standard for jurisprudence.”

He said that if the next president appoints someone like Chief Justice John Roberts to replace Thomas “you are actually going to see the court shift to the left.” Alito is 73 years old and Thomas is 74.

DeSantis went further and said that it’s even possible that the next president may appoint successors for both Roberts and Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Roberts and Sotomayor are both age 68. He made the context clear by then saying that whoever is in the White House could help create a conservative majority on the court that would “last a quarter century.”
During his term, President Joe Biden selected one justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson, while former President Donald Trump picked three: Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
The governor on Tuesday also named conservative appeals court Judge Meredith Sasso to the state’s highest court.
This will mark his seventh appointment to the state high court since he first took office in early 2019, and as a result the court has already shifted firmly to the right.
But this choice is likely to be closely scrutinized because this will be the first one that comes while he is ramping up his presidential campaign. The process used by DeSantis to screen candidates has been very shrouded at times. His official schedule, for example, has not shown that he has met one-on-one with any of the six candidates for the post.
we get fukked harder than where we are.

In the worst cases..

Prepare to lose status and get lumped up with border jumpers from Mexico and Venezuela that arrived last week.

Any long term jobs gained through affirmative action could be lost.

Federal environmental protections will be scrapped. Meaning more pollution in Black areas from crooked industries.

It'll be harder for Black immigrants and those from other undesirable nations in Latin America, Arabia and Asia to enter the US and many from poor nations will go to other countries for elite colleges.

A further proliferation of guns and gun violence as gun laws are eliminated and evebody packing like the wild west.

Possibly more far right judges to carry on the trend.
Thus some laws getting reversed to pre civil rights era.

They'll do a whole bunch of shyt that'll set the country back like they did last time.

They'll make it really shytty for sure, but to many it's already really shytty.

No matter who is running things though, I always say someone who takes care of their business/lives won't be as affected. That's always the reality.

At the end of the day, the powers that be in this country won't ever let it reach Civil War status though because too much money will be removed.

You can kiss voting rights goodbye in the short term, and any prison-related reforms on the state level will be shyt canned. Long term? It's clear they're going after the Civil Rights Act. They don't have the votes now and wouldn't with two more conservative votes. But I think the plan is to replace conservatives with further right wingers who will gut the CRA in the future. Right now they have two justices who will vote on any right wing nonsense no matter what - Thomas and Alito. The other conservatives have been somewhat unpredictable at times, siding with the liberals. Clear goal will be to replace liberals with uber right wingers, and then have Thomas retire so a younger version of him can be installed.

Yep they are going to swing for the fences with the next picks and they will be Rush Limbaugh type conservatives.
