seana paul will tell you he aint the king of dancehall..he may have pop hits but on his best day he is not even half of what supacat was

:win: i tried telling these dumbfukks that......

Sean Paul got a buzz in Jamaica cause he reminded alot of people such as myself because of his vocals which sounded eerily similiar to Supercat....as far as tone and clarity.............

but lyrically ............ :rudy:

he doesn't rate in any real dancehall fan's meter...

especially when it comes to subject matter, Cat touched on politial and social realities as well as keeping the clubs and streets pumping...which really describe a true "KING" when it comes to jamaican dancehall music...

yeah i know about his uptown upbringing....

that's why i laugh at this KING OF DANCEHALL title these fools have placed on him...

if anything he's like the DRAKE OF DANCEHALL....

considering he was a member of the Jamaican Water Polo Team that was qualifying for the olympics :lolbron:

As hot as he was back in the day, Shabba Ranks even clashed against Ninjaman at the height of his popularity!! He got destroyed, and Risto Benji had to save face.... but at least he clashed!

that's the point i've been making :ohlawd:

you can't possibly be considered a KING OF DANCEHALL without displaying your skills at a Clash .......

Shabba did it even while the ink was still drying on his CBS recording contract he just had signed....

Supercat did it while promoting his Columbia Records debut lp "Don Dada"....

Beenie Man continued to clash long after he had done collabos with american stars such as T.I and MYA....

Sean Paul avoided CLASHES like the plague even after he had the opportunity to defend himself after Mr. Vegas called him out

even Patra with her sexy a$$ particpated in a three way clash against two other "spit hot fiyah" women (sister charmaine and lady g.)

so although i think he's a great radio artist who can deliver hits...

i can't respect him as an article dancehall deejay considering he has abandoned the respected art of clashing along with the fact that he hasn't really made himself accesible to soundsystems for recording dubplates, which give artists a true link to true dancehall listeners.....

unlike these ignant puzzyholes pon dis board :beli:
