Ian had plenty of chance in NY and stunk it up. And lets face it after Granderson who besides Cano are pitchers scared to face? Austin has Cabrera and Fielder behind him.

had his chance? so 15 starts is a chance for you? typical dumb yankees fan

Not enough, secondly theres no proof Kennedy couldnt pitch here, he had what like 15 starts as a Yankee? that means he cant pitch in NY ? That shiiit is soooo overated, there are very few if any players that actually do worse here than elsewhere, NY fans are just mad self important. If I wasnt a new yorker i would hate that attitude

lol it's not overrated....I could name a bunch of players, hall of famers, so so player, all stars, and scrubs that performed better elsewhere before and after playing for New York

dude its not close AJAX IS MUCH BETTER THAN CURTIS this year.

AJAX obp is over .400 Grandy is .339 I mean its not close AJAX slugging eprcentage is higher too he leads the league in triples. Granderson is hr or nothing. PLus ajax plays defense while Grandy has cost us games in the field.

You sound like a self absorbed yankees fan that doesnt know what hes talking about

And I bring up Nova cause that is who Kennedy would replace in our rotation, Kennedy is gravy anyway

Ajax is a average hitter, Grandy is a power hitter...you can make an argument that he's a better lead off hitter (Girardi's an idiot to lead off Granderson), but lets not pretend OBP defines who the better offensive player is. You wanna talk about triples? lol what abut grandersons 130+ runs last year. And you're gonna act like Granderson doesnt play defense...i know he cost us that game against boston, but granderson is usually good in the field.

yeah but its not as many as you think

Even AJ, I was against that trade at the time, we are essentially paying him to win games for a playoff bound team. What if the Pirates make the WS and so do we and he beats us? How dumb would that be? AJ didnt fail cause it was NY if thats the case he wouldnt have had a good first season. AJ peripherals were good last year, a rebound was predictable but I wouldnt have minded trading him if we didnt pay anything or if we got someone good we didnt get either, we are paying most of his salary.

And Yankees fans arew self important. perfect example Jose Contreras was the ace of a ws team but Yankee fans still swear he couldnt handle NY, more like they traded him too quickly.

But the arrogance of Yankees fans to suggest Yankee regular season games were more pressurized than the WS :ohlawd:

Granderson is not usually good int he field he is -25 in uzr while AJAX is +10

and your power argument doesnt hold weight because ajax slugging is higher so that negates the HR difference. Also OBP is only the single most important predictor of scoring runs therby making it the most important offensive stat.

And yes Grandy had ONE MVP type season, he also had a mediocre one his first year That is hardly worth trading a young player whos gonna be a star for the next ten years

First off bytch it was 14 games not counting the post season, 1 win in 12 starts giving up 40 earned runs in under 60 innings. Traded after the Yankees had a World Series winning rotation went 9-10 his first year in Arizona, last year was amazing but is 10-8 this season. Four other starters with at least 10 wins and outside of Nova's ERA what are the Yankees missing from him.

You say this like everyone KNEW AJax was going to become a star. Far more prospects of his ilk end up as "disappointments" than end up in all-star games.

ok bro you proving my point more by saying it was less games and it dont matter how bad he was, Verlander lost 17 games one year before he broke out, if it was the Yankees they wouldve gotten rid of him.

but Curtis was in decline clearly no debating. Last year was an aberration cause hes gone back to being mediocre this season.

The Red Sox are the type other than Hanley to let these guys play and consequently their lineup stays young and good, they arent losing this season cause of their lineup. No way Boston would ever trade an AJax for a Granderson

Meantime we have the nursing home yankees making 15-30 million a year
