I just started playing the game 2 months ago. I started playing fallout new vegas and the span it took me to play 2 times took over a year with my schedule and the added dlc and after playing the 2 back to back I have to say NV Is better than F03 :yeshrug:. I understand that in F03 it had more areas to explore and more enemy encounters which is a good thing but the type of enemies that you run into (deathclaws, nightstalkers, cazadors, legion, etc) make it for in NV. The crafting system gave you a mass amount of weapon options, being able to make and buy attachments, a vastly superior melee weapon system the melee weapons you can get are extremely limited in FO3. Now don't get me wrong FO3 did have its moments but even the story and the characters was more interesting in NV even the companions in FO3 lacked any kind of depth or character except for fawkes but after your meeting with him you can't even get any unique quest or anything else with him :yeshrug:.

Don't get me wrong even with that all said tunnels and the back story with the enclave or cool though and what they was trying to do with the wastes :heh: but other than that NV all the way :salute: .

FO3 had the better story but I enjoyed playing New Vegas more.

Going solo in the Tops Casino against Benny and the Chairmen :lawd:

I dunno I thought NV had a better story especially if you play lonesome road after you beat the game. It makes the story of how things wound up the way they did with the courier make sense. The dlc was even better for NV. Smh @ project anchorage being a dlc :rudy:

Maybe it's cause I grew up in DC and seeing places I know all fukked up had me like :mindblown:

But seriously, the way FO3 brought you up from birth, to leaving the vault, to finding your father at the end and what happened with that stuck with me more than the story of the Courier.

I haven't played lonesome road though, I only fukked with Old World Blues which was great.

New Vegas had much better replay value but fallout 3, outside of the annoying subway system had so many memorable locations, to be frank i have been and passed through alot of these spots and they are just as fukking boring in real life to go to as they were in the game, but i enjoyed new vegas very much regardless.

however, fo3 had better quests, rileys rangers, the last mission with eden prime, wastelanders guide, shyt, storming the capitol building....the locations were just more memorable even if new vegas felt more like a fallout game.

see I played nv before FO3 so imo the hoover dam battle, Prison battle, the ghoul rocket mission, fiend clean up missions, van graffs missions>>>. Also I been to vegas about 10 times in my life and seeing some of the outer cities that was demolished and the landscape was crazy for me. I do hate how the flamer is the most ineffective weapon in the game compared to FO3

haha, i hated driving to vegas, so outside of vegas is ass, although i love the mojave and i love to vacation there mostly because i can write and compose without distraction.

anyhow i can see your attachment to the game and why you might feel how you feel. I never did van graff missions because i slaughtered them, the goul rocket mission was piff and killing the fiends was piff too, i loved new vegas, but fallout 3 was probably another level for me because i waited years for a real new fallout and got it. ill never forget the thread on the :hamster:

i was coming home every morning from work fiending to play, and i had gears of war 2 and several other marquee titles at that time (back when i could afford them) and fo3 took all my time.

No way.

NV was pretty good, but FO3 is one of the best games of this generation. Just more compelling all around and NV was more glitchy than FO3.

I just don't see it. I mean even you had more weapons, better dlc, crafting, better companion system but :manny: . I can see the reason why NV don't have many random encounters or enemys is due to it being in the mojave in the first place. you can't just survive in weather like that.
