Why do you guys try to write Kobes career as 3 seperate careers? He played for one team. One. Why wouldnt he get credit for contributing to the success of the team?who are all these 50-win teams that kobe beat??

I don't even remember the lakers winning that many series' period with kobe as their leader. I guess theyre counting all the series' they won when the lakers who shaq's team,and retro-actively giving the credit to kobe. I see that shaqs name isn't even on the list.

With regard to Pau, true basketball minds know he's good and was invaluable to the Lakers success. But if I use the mentality of the guy who says stats tell us objectively who is better than who then the numbers are clear that Gasol (before joining Kobe) was worse than Love (before he joined LeBron).
I personally think Love is a scrub but he did put up stats that were more impressive than Pau Gasol ever did.

Cause we watched basketball back then and saw Kobe outplay Shaq several times in the Western Conference Finals during those years. Shaq got the finals MVPs for dominating the weak Eastern conference teams. But in the West it was many times Kobe that saved the day.
For example, in game 7 of the 2000 Western Conference Finals against the Blazers it was Kobe that led the Lakers 4th quarter comeback. Shaq didn't play all that well that game and it was the game that launched the dynasty.
Only a hater with an agenda would diminish Kobe's accomplishments with Shaq. That was a 1a/1b relationship from 2001 on. 2000 is the only year Kobe was the "2nd option". And even then, he outplayed Shaq in game 7 against the Blazers as I mentioned earlier and then in the finals with a severely sprained ankle that cost him nearly 2 games he led the Lakers to victory in a critical Game 4 after Shaq fouled out in the 4th quarter.

This thread isn't about Gasol or Love dummy. Its about exposing the hypocrisy of LeBron stans. I only used Gasol and Love as tools.
I know Gasol is a great player. But the numbers said Kevin Love was better. I'm putting the pressure on Bron stans in this thread to finally admit that stats aren't everything. And that sometimes they can make an inferior player like Kevin Love look much better than a guy like Pau Gasol that is 10x the player he is.
Bron stans however are either not smart enough to understand this or have all together ignored this thread because of the philosophical bind it puts them. If they have to disavow stats then there goes their primary argument for why LeBron is better than Kobe. If they don't disavow stats then they have to accept LeBron's 3rd option for many years was better than Kobe's 2nd option and still accomplished less.
Its a lose/lose proposition for them. Which is why so many have avoided this thread.
