If you want WCS you might not even need to be in the top 7 or 8 to land him.Not really considering we need to be in the top 2.

I share your concerns though I doubt the Knicks pursue RussellI dont necessarily want him, I'd just take him over Russel. I'd take the unknown in Mudiay over Russell.
I hope you're happy.I share your concerns though I doubt the Knicks pursue Russell

What about when you said the same thing last season about needing the Lakers to lose every game? Even though we would not have lost our pick without it being top 5 protected?Yeah, because we can LOSE our pick. The Knicks still have the 2nd worst record in the league and can't lose theirs. How can you even compare the two? At 5 all it would've taken was one team to jump ahead for us to lose it. I was more interested in us securing it than finishing 1, 2 or 3.
The draft is random. Those odds don't mean shyt. The team with the worst record hardly ever wins.
Finishing 7th is a bit different from finishing 2nd. Don't you think? You didn't even want to tank last year. What about when you said the same thing last season about needing the Lakers to lose every game? Even though we would not have lost our pick without it being top 5 protected?

And we drafted Randle, whom most Laker fans like a lot for the future. And we got the 7th pick by the randomness of the lottery, as you said in this thread about NY.Finishing 7th is a bit different from finishing 2nd. Don't you think? You didn't even want to tank last year.

We were in the 6th to 9th range most of last year. Majority of laker fans wanted us to move up to the 1st to 4th range to have a better shot at landing Embiid, Wiggins or Parker. And you were against tanking. For some odd reason you wanted us to win meaningless game. So that we could end up in the bottom half of the draft lottery. It made no sense and it still doesn't.And we drafted Randle, whom most Laker fans like a lot for the future.
