Hip Hop is still a culture, I see people who live by music and dancing everyday

The music aspect isn't as strong as it used to be but the influence is still there

Figuring out for what's popular for what purpose?? Are we selling goods or are we speaking about a declining culture? Culture isn't based on trends, culture is based on art and literature. You keep trying to fuse the ideas of the establishments use of the culture and the culture itself.
We're speaking on a declining culture.

But my point is if companies are using this information to figure out what people like for the purpose of selling a product to them, it's not difficult for a regular person to fine the information for the purpose of seeing what's culturally relevant

And you and @SunZoo are tryna tell me that everything posted on social media is fake news? Come on now Breh.

Hip Hop Is A Culture its just many have lost sight of it and aren't connected to any of the elements within it outside of rap

(And Its Usually A Watered down version of that particular element)

So if you're speaking on a declining culture why the hell are we talking about social media research?? We're not selling products... are you still trying to sell popular culture (exactly what the establishment does already)? I don't get your point at all.

My point is figuring out what people like is as easy as searching a hashtag on Twitter.

If the culture of hip-hop was still significant I would see some kind of social media presence.

When "Damn" came out I saw it all over social media.
When "Mask Off" blew up I saw it all over social media.

I never see the presence of the "culture" of hip-hop on social media outside of rap music.

And I'm saying the fact that it's not popular on social media proves the "culture" of hip-hop outside of rap music has declined.

If the "culture" of hip-hop was still popular amongst the youth of today it would have some kind of social media presence. And it doesn't.
