Let’s establish this now: Does this season count?

Does the ring won in 2020 count the same as others?

It counts. I personally don't think they should have gone forward with the season, but they are, so fukk it. Every ring counts equally, it's just up to the fans to know their shyt and understand the circumstances behind all of them. Without a doubt, I'm sure you'll see people unable to maintain that same energy if shyt doesn't go how they want it to, moving forward:mjlit:
I’ll go ahead and say it now... Orlando had the 8 seed in the bag and now they gotta fight for it. The East should be fukking locked

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
if everyone has the same circumstances then why not?
Because everyone doesn’t. Even when the Spurs won with 50 games, everyone played 50 games.

Right now they are cutting out teams. That’s a big effect on an NBA season. Trash teams spoiling playoff contenders seasons. Managing those weak ass games with your players minutes. Surprise runs or losing streaks. All that is completely gone.

Then injuries. I’m a sixers fan. If we were to win it all, I’d still know that we got back some players that wouldn’t have been there. We probably wouldn’t have made the damn playoffs how we was headed. Now we cruise in, perfectly healthy, and never have to face any team with home court? Seeding don’t even matter either cause you have no fans

It’s too much. There’s always gonna be 150 excuses built in and they won’t even be wrong

Exactly.

They hand-picked teams for a summer league, and then are saying let's give a ring to whoever wins, and act like it matters. It's also practically a new season, so whoever get's hot first, wins. No fans, no homecourt, so seeding is irrelevant. Hell, they're getting 1 month for training camp. That shows right there that it's a new season....they season counted up until the COVID stuff. That's it. This exhibition seaso means nothing.

It counts more given the circumstances

You won't be saying this when you see the NBA Finals looking like an intramural scrimmage.

Unless you have fans in the stands and the dynamics of home/road environments, this will not a be legit NBA Championship. This will be the equivalent of a Summer League tournament with NBA teams instead of rookies.

No fans = No drama/intensity

What makes the playoffs special is the fact that there is pressure and drama. Going on the road and winning is huge. Playing at home gives the home team such a huge boost. Without those dynamics we will be left with what essentially looks like a practice.

I personally don't care about the layoff as much as I care about the fact it'll be played in empty arenas at one location. That doesn't look like the NBA Playoffs to me. It looks instead like the Orlando Summer League which is played with no crowd inside the Magic's practice facility. If you've ever watched those Summer League games, you know how wack it is compared to even the Vegas Summer League let alone real NBA games.

No Fans = Fraudulent Title
