Depends on how lazy I am. I've used hand soap, dish washing liquid, loofahs, wash rags, socks. I use to go through struggle phases so I say use what works for you

I use all four.

I use a "rag" (lol) first with unscented soap to clean myself, then I go over my body one time with a shower pouf & scented body wash so I can smell good.

Doesn't that dry your skin out?

I use loofa and bathsoap or bodywash depending on what I have in stock at the time. Whenever I run out of Bodywash, I have this big stock of costco soap that I bought two years ago that I use sometimes though its not the best from my skin since I'm prone to dryness.

Also, to be a bit geeky here for a second, Soap is a surfactant. The purpose of a surfactant is to minimize the "tightness" of a substance or in the case of soap removes the ability of dirt or unspeakable things from the ass regions to "stick" to a surface and allows them to easily fall off. So in this case, soap is the main thing getting that stank out than it is using the abrasion of a cloth
