I never knew where that sample came from, heading how he flipped it is insane.

Hav could be in my top 5 producers, I can't think of one wack beat. Would be dope to see him jump in Alcs lane and start producing full projects for others.
The story behind that beat is that it started as a pretty straightforward loop, but they didn't have the budget to pay for the sample, so Hav had to go back and flip the sample in a way where they wouldn't have to clear it.

that survival of the fittest flip. how did the nikka even hear that melody in there :mindblown:

i had to repeat that a handful of times before i recognized it :damn:
:wow:
I remember when the thread was made on here after that sample was discovered. It was the same for me, without the video of the sample being flipped, there was no way I would have ever been able to spot the sample. :wow:

One of the most promising aspects of the article was the part about Hav sending beats to Kanye unsolicited. I wonder if he's sending beats to anybody else? :jbhmm:
I'd love Hav to get a placement on the next Kendrick album :gladbron:
Or the next Joey Badass album :gladbron: (although that wouldn't really be high profile :manny:)

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
I may be in the minority (and not just because of my ethnic selection on school applications)...

... but Havoc > Premo/RZA

I'd bump a mobb deep album in the whip before a gangstar/tang lp.

If you got blaupuncts or factory sound systems... Havoc's shiit just sounds much better. His drums and basslines were fukkin' waves of centures ahead of his time.

Ye knew what the fukk was up.
