While we're being real... even if the event is a "letdown", people will still break websites and take Friday morning off just to get the newest iPhone. Tim Cook could hop on stage on Wednesday, shrug, and display a new phone, walk off, and sell 3 million on launch day.

We've reached the point where incremental changes have replaced revolutionary claims on new cell phone tech. The next major breakthrough will be in battery tech, and once that happens we can finally get the paper thin devices Steve Jobs wanted so badly.
