they could easily justify a $700 system... but they'd have to blow the other system way out the fukking water

lets say microsoft comes at e3 2020... hey we got a new system... $400... every game will be 1080p/60fps... crowd goes wild

sony comes in the next day... hey we got a better system... $700... every game will be 4k/120fps............

now while it definitely won't sell enough... it will be bought the fukk up ... i can tell you right now i'd be getting myself one... just seeing these real life pc mods on gta 5 was enough for me to say fukk this bullshyt, i want THAT

maybe they could even do two versions.... 1 regular for $400... then, like an elite controller, have an elite ps5 that uses better specs

but then again... the devs will still short us... companies will still make back alley deals that "you can't make their version better than ours" and laziness and money will have nobody developing for that elite system anyway

you kinda gotta get everyone to play ball for it to work

Maybe a 600 dollar upgradeable console like pc and a 400 dollar normal console but then you would have issues with everyone not having the same experience errors and developers would have to build games like they do for PC

But there could be a niche market where it could be called Xbox ultimate and you can upgrade graphics card ram etc but the minimum specs would have to be compatible with the base console for like 5 years

For the next console cycle then you can release upgrade pack for Xbox ultimate and new base Xbox to signal it's a new cycle

Sega already tried that with the 32x and Sega CD. It didn't turn out too well. :yeshrug:

I more ya'll complain about the resolutions and power and FPS (a bunch of stuff I barely understand), the more I just fill I need to cop a desktop for Mass Effect Andromeda.

Developers will ALWAYS choose eye candy over frame rates stability and resolution.

I feel the markets are more sophisticated and it would be more for the niche pc type market where they can upgrade internally there will always be one main console and graphics card companies can slap on a logo that says Xbox compatible it would be like the Xbox elite controller

It'd fracture the market too much in my opinion. A controller with extra paddles is one thing, a more powerful gpu is something completely different. :yeshrug:

but the shyt is like eye vegetables....

it'd be one thing if we was getting even half of what pc's are getting.. i get that they will always be better.. they drop new ones literally every month

but goddamn... just go look at any pc game vs a next gen version... you telling me they couldn't give us better hardware than THIS

it's a conundrum, even if they get the hardware they want, they'll always want more.

Perfect Resolution and Stable Frame rate doesn't sell...Good graphics (more objects, particles, effects on screen) DO
