It will be weak and garbage like this gen when it comes to advancement. Games are struggling for 1080P which has been the norm on PC for decades. Sony and Microsoft played it safe this gen by making consoles $400 for consumers but that mark is not logical for advancement that gamers are expecting. We have two systems who systematically are already outdated and developers are sacrificing their games to develop properly for each system which is unheard three years in for a system life cycle.

When Sony released PS3 a decade ago it was unheard of for a system right off the bat to be that high compared to previous releases such as Xbox Dreamcast etc.. But now with the widespread of PC gaming, VR the next gen has to be over 700 dollars.

I am sorry if yall dont agree but hypothetical it is needed.

The average consumer isn't going to spend $700 on a console. Let's be realistic. $500 is probably the max most people will pay. At $700, you might as well buy a pc. The next gen consoles won't be anywhere near $700. I'm thinking they'll be $400-500 like this gen. That's the sweet spot.

It's on the developers to tailor their game to the hardware. Even if you give them more powerful hardware, nothing is stopping them from running into the same problems. They'll make Witcher 5 look amazing but run at 1080p/28fps

Another thing i hate about the industry is that certain games do not make it to the PC version. If you have a fine product working on a console, why not release it on PC for maximum quality?

There will ALWAYS be better specs on PC. That's just how it is. If you want the best then get a pc. Ain't no one buying a 700$ console and Sony/Microsoft knows that.

Besides First Party Console Exclusives. I cant think of a game that didn't come to PC. Even 3rd party "console" exclusives are still getting PC released(Street Fighter V, Rise Of The Tomb Raider)

Red Dead Redemption? NO PC Release
When's the last time they released NFL OR NHL?
WWE 2K16 ? ( it could come later this year)
I'm sure there's more...

Red Dead Redemption I guess is one of the exceptions.

Sports games are always console favored. That's just digging through the barrel :scust:
