its already happening now

coaches fall in love with athleticism in this country

USA will still be the best, and have the best talent but the days of utter dominance are over.

basketball and swimming are like the last international sports we are truly dominant.

Pretty much.

in 10 yrs ill be mid 30s talkin bout how my generation was GOAT and no one will ever be close to them even when there are players who would probably dominate this era

Pretty much. Twenty years from now I'll be arguing with my sons about how LeBron James and Kobe Bryant would dominate their era and they'll be telling me about how nice some kid named Demarius Jones or some shyt is and how he'd average 45 easy playing against today's competition.

And they'll probably be right. :yeshrug:

you know why black American are so dominant at the sport?

because most of the players are trying to get out of a situation so they put their lives on the line for this...

you know some poor countries are surging this much lately?

once the potential is fully realized and those countries gets the training needed to their "Ibaka" to shine... the ratio of US to non US player will grow that much closer in the Nba.

In an olympic set up, never will a country truly compete with a serious USA team

the field is just too deep, even if those surging countries would have the necessary institutions, they wouldn't field half as many basketball players as there is in the states

Now if we're on some USA vs The World type of shyt, then yeah it'll definitly get closer and closer

There's going to be an American player like Dirk sooner or later, I know most people feel Durant is that, but I mean a dude who is legit 7"0 and like 250+, basically Dirk with a lot more athleticism and a better handle. The writing is on the wall with the AAU circuit seemingly trying to produce that player with all the big guys we have today that want to shoot jumpers and prove they can play on the perimeter. Eventually one of them will actually be good at it.

The only way the USA won't be dominant in 10 years is if the NBA isn't the dominant basketball league in 10 years or if americans aren't the most players in the NBA.

As long as America has her negroes, she'll be just fine in basketball and track and field.

 I was just about to say that. I always call KD the American Dirk.

Jonathan Bender was supposed to be but that dude was straight trash.

:ehh:not at all--- but usa will grow exponentially-- the rest of the world will always b playing catch up

Since 92 U.S. has grown exponentially and yet the rest of the world still caught up enough to beat us in 2004 didn't they? So what evidence do you have to base your theory upon?
