Yeah, I was more so generalizing.This heavily depends on family, family values, and how you were brought up. I have friends I'd swap out with some family members.
At end of the day, just try to keep positive/good people in your circle.
If you have a healthy family I'd say you're making a mistake putting friends over them, even if they're close friends.
Of course every relationship is different though, but end of the day it's biological as well - nature will favor closer to the center/blood when all things are relatively even (you have good family and good friends). The focus is usually on the bloodline surviving.
Also good to recognize that as well when thinking about friends. They may be your best friend, but there's a good chance they'll pick family over you when it gets thick.
I consider myself a really good friend for example, but you won't get priority over my family.
