You sound just like the Redneck Tea Party CACS who were attacking Obama before the elections and to this day

I mean LITERALLY you used the exact same rhetoric, a Socialist who practices Black Liberation Theory who is secretly a Terrorist/Communist

It's starting to make sense :lupe: You a scorned Romney voter

My President is Black, cac :heh:

I've got NO problem with communists today. Back then it was a different story, but I bring it up to only inform you of his view of religion and theology.

MLK was a religious leader. I don't believe he was personally a religious man.

...but the question therefore is, at what point do you suspend the very disbelief you have in other forms of religion and look at your own views?

You know the bible is bullshyt...but yet you still subscribe to pieces of it.

It didnt take church to teach me what was right and wrong.
you take a two year old and look at him do something he has no business.
the second you catch that child he will hide it's hand because he know it's wrong.
as far as God......I've always saw God as a mother.
My faith is in knowing that this experience is not a accident and that
I should be a good person on my path.
never said I was christian.....I said I believe in God.

Are ppl crticizing the Black church back then, or the black church NOW?

The black church back then, wasn't about money, large numbers of members or fancy clothes, being seen......it was the only place back ppl could organize safely and discuss how to plan & proceed during those times. How they could better organize, progress etc etc etc

The black church now is not the same, and is more along the lines of the bolded.

This is filled with so much conjecture and empty rhetoric its funny, If google is correct there are close to 70,000 churches that Identify as having mainly African American members. Out of those 70,000 churches how many preachers have been caught or suspected of corruption or inappropriate behavior? 5% lets go as high as 10%. So what about the other 90% of pastors whose good acts go unsighted because yall would rather believe that EVERY preacher is some swindler or crook. Maybe if you didn't get your depictions of what a Black Preacher does from movies like Friday or Don't Be A Menace( BTW White people would NEVER allow there preachers to be depicted in such a way in film or on television), and brought your ass to church on a Sunday you might find out the stereotypes aren't true. Maybe if you went by Church on a Wednesday you could see that money that(the ALL preachers steal) being put to good use to feed the homeless and provide clothing and education programs for the kids.

Every church isn't large. In fact most aren't. So I don't know where you all get this idea, that churches are being overrun with members. In fact a lot of churches are being forced to close due to low membership.

On to your third point.? Which is bullshyt, but stays getting used like its some sort of Trump Card "Fancy clothes, Being seen" People have ALWAYS worn there finest clothes to church, that isn't a new phenomenon church WAS and IS a social event, and in those times it was THE social event.

But you're speaking in vague terms about a concept you claim is defined.

This experience doesn't have to be "an accident"

A class in biochemistry would show you that its all just simple chemistry working together in energetic confirmations. (sounds complex but its not)

No need to invoke magic when more education would answer the extent of your existing questions.

Give me your reasons for believing in a god and i'll bet there are better answers for the things you claim god is responsible for.

who said I have evil words you asshat?

Can you read?

I'm saying that MLK pimped christianity to convince you silly sycophants to fall in lock-step.

if it wasn't for student organizations inspired by communist sentiments of equality to SERIOUSLY get shyt popping near the 50s, ya'll would be all up in church sitting on your goddamn hands.

The student invocation of the civil rights movement doesn't get enough respect.

Again: Churches were used because of their existing population centers, NOT because of their innate theology.

I agree with you.

My only argument is that the black church really doesn't need to be as influential as it is.

None of the theology or religious views are useful and if it were not for the services they provide to the community, they'd be utterly and entirely worthless.

Black churches today are essentially extensions of community welfare with a feel-good message once a week.

Everytime you go to church its BARELY a message rooted in any aspect of theology or religious stories. Its basically prosperity gospel wrapped in a new package.

Its laughable to me people thinking church is Somme big time business.

Ant competent church has a board, and at least once a year members of the church hear about finances .

Even renting a church can cost you like 500 a week, and you are subjected to meet in only
certain zones .

As well you have to her church insurance ,
sometimes have to pay someone to play the piano or rent instruments .

And especially I'd you are a small church like most churches are, the tithes an offerings you collect may not even cover the church expenses.

But you know turn on your TV and seel creflo in a 1,000 dollar suit talking about prosperity , and you think all churches are like that.

Trap? :heh:

If you actually got a passport and were able to travel to Africa, see Accra or Kumasi in Ghana, see the archictures in many countries you would realize you are being sold a bag.of lies.

The highest refugee claims are from.Europe in Canada .

The highest asylum claims in america are from white Europeans

I'm talking about today not 15-20 years ago, Africa is flourishing but broke negros in orange new jersey don't know that :umad:

:heh: I see what your trying to be breh and sorry but nah.

http://www.theguardian.com/global-d...s/2013/aug/27/brazil-china-africa-agriculture

and once again I never said Africa was poor, I just said most Africans are not in charge of resources.

An theisr who hates church and religion actually talking about the message spoken at churches?

I've been to church every Sunday this year and not once have I heard a prosperity message.

Yall are taking this too personal :heh:

No faith is without its faults in this day of many enlightenments but Im not gonna be part of religion that was forced upon my people through slavery.

Say what you want about Islam but it didnt create the arab slave trade and was one of the reason in which it almost abolished.

As i said before I have no problem with Christianity, but it can not be denied how it was spread among us.

I just want black people to choose thats all.

Religion shouldn't be a tradition
