Wade is playing what? His 10th season?

I picked a 10 year period of Kobe's career (2001-2010) and these are his stats/achievements/accolades:

Between that time period Kobe averaged 28.4 pts on 45.5% FG, 5.8 rebs, 5.3 assts, and 1.6 stls. Went to the NBA Finals 6 times, won 4 NBA Championships, was a 2 time Finals MVP, won 1 Regular Season MVP, was voted an All-Star 10 times, was 10 time All-NBA Team, was 9 time All-Defensive Team, was Player of the Week 25 times, was Player of the Month 13 times, and was a 2 time Scoring Champion

:blessed:

And Wade is supposed to be better? He's already fell off in 10 years while Kobe is putting up 30 in his 17th season:snoop:

You can't pick and choose. That's not fair. Do there first 10 years in the league.

Nah we can compare them from age 20-30

Kobe is better than wade, its not even a debate in the real world or among coaches or people who get paid to play the game

Wade in 2006 shot 60 percent against the best defense in the league. The Eastern conference finals performance was >>> than his finals performance.

I know you are a knee jerk Wade hater, and I can understand the sentiment based on his constant on-court bytching, make wearing, and otherwise fakkity behavior. But 2006 is not the right year to make this statement.
The Pistons under Flip Saunders were not the best defensive team in the league. That same Pistons barely beat the 06 Cavs. :comeon:

Still can't do that. Wade was a rookie at 22. I agree on Kobe being better than Wade. No one in 06 was saying Wade was better than Kobe besides Mike Wilbon.

So what rank would you give the 2006 pistons, defensively? Kobe seemed to have trouble with chauncey and prince

At the same age, Kobe from 27-31 vs Wade from 27-31

Kobe: 30 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 5.0 apg, and 1.6 spg, went to 3 NBA Finals, won 2 NBA Championships, was 2 time Finals MVP, was a 5 time All-Star, was 5 time All-NBA 1st Team, was 5 time All-Defensive 1st Team, was a 2 time Scoring Champion, was 13 times Player of The Week, and 9 times Player of The Month:win:

Wade: 24.9 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 5.5 apg, 1.7 spg, and 1.1 bpg. went to 2 NBA Finals, won 1 NBA Championship, was a 4 time All-Star, was 4 time All-NBA (2x 1st Team, 1x 2nd Team, and 1x 3rd Team), was 2 time All-Defensive 2nd Team, was 8 time Player of The Week, and 4 times Player of The Month:childplease:

Even though Wade's numbers arent finished for this season, there's no way he can make up the lack of achievements/stats in comparision to Kobe at the same age.

the thing is, the Wade decline became noticeable last postseason. We were all witness to it. He has lost some of his athleticism and he has no idea how to compensate for it. He is very fortunate to be playing with Lebron.

TO me it seems he's just sloppy and lazy and lacks focus. As for being fortunate to play with Lebron? Kobe can't win with 3 hall of famers on his squad.

Jordan had a quicker first step.

From watching both, I disagree. I guess we can leave it at that until Malta decides to chime in on the issue.

Kobe's prime was better than Wade's. He is just a better basketball player than Wade, and the great example is how Kobe has aged better than Wade.

So, because kobe has "aged" better, this means his prime was better? This means he was always better? Quite frankly, when we are measuring players at their peak, durability isn't part of the question.

Take Kareem vs. Shaq. Shaq's prime was > Kareems. But Kareem "aged" better.

Take a look at the 2006 postseason. Kobe had 3-1 lead on the suns, then threw away the series in game 7 for god knows what reason. Kobe had 3 HOF players in 2004 and destroyed that team with senseless ball-hogging in the finals when Shaq was beasting.

I'm not sure how you can accurately measure Kobe when you don't account for his jaw-dropping stupidity while playing.

Wade is very much the opposite. He took a team of washed up garbage all the way to a championship in 2006. He played like a combination of Jordan and Kidd. He plays with Lebron and let's lebron dominate. Kobe played with shaq and couldn't let Shaq have his.

Kobe's stupidity is what will always hinder his career. I know the stans try to white wash his failures, but there's a reason he holds the record for most Field Goals all time, and most missed field goals in a single game. There's a reason he gets shut down by old ass point guards like Jason Kidd and Derek Fisher in the playoffs.

It's because he's just stupid and reckless. :manny:
