Shadow Hearts 3 wasn't butchered, it just was a new story and some fans didn't like that. But the story was over from the previous. It's damn near a carbon copy just with a new cast and story. Game is great sound track and all.

Shadow hearts as a series is the best rpg series ever I can't even see how some people can call themselves rpg fans if they haven't played at least the first 2.

Just didn't like how the sillyness in SH3 culminated. I was always going from "cool shyt" to "bruh, corny" in every scene. Stabbing bums with a knife is both hilarious and a dream for sociopaths

But at some point you run into some very corny storylines, I also didn't like Joachim's replacement, while yes, a vampire/wrestler superhero is flowchart silly, it was better than a geriatric ninja dude with a cactus katana. I like my silly to come with some epic, ala Vash in Trigun.

That's how I felt where I was raised. A lot of sports games and a new Mario game was all the piff, and all that people cared about. Zone of the Enders was overshadowed by MGS2 but fukk if it wasnt that haze.

Actually The Bouncer, came out a full year after the console release. The PS2 really had no solid titles besides a very questionable Ridge Race V. If anything Fantavision was the flagship title, wherein they wanted to show how many sprites they could have on screen...no one was impressed as no one wanted to see colors on their screen over a solid game that wasn't a fighter (DoA 2, SFEX3, Tekken Tag, etc). In fact, those fighting games listed were the true flagship titles

2001 was the piff year for the PS2; Bouncer, Twisted Metal Black, Gran Turismo A-spec, Exterminaton, Madden, Ico, Silent Hill 2, etc.

Man i remember reading in either EGM or i think something else that hideo kojima was working on some non MGS game called zone of the enders, i was like "shyt looks piff" but to this day i never got around to playing or even seeing it. I'm betting that shyt was like that Ghost in the Shell PSX demo tho

This was legit a great horror game. The way they implemented the mechanic to test if team members were infect was intense.

I don't know if this game is considered to be "lesser known," but it was However, looking back at it, I wish I would have kept it instead of trading it in And I couldn't find it anywhere either It'd be nice if they had a remake of it though

Most of the games that fit the criteria for me have already been posted, I'll put up a few more from yesteryear.

Fun fact about Ultra Games, It was actually Konami. Back in those days, Nintendo set a rule that as a company, you could only release 5 games a year. Companies got around this by making up bullshyt companies to release games, hence, Ultra Games, lol.
