Federal grant money is why the water system infrastructure was able to be modernized and why lead service lines have been replaced in Flint. The vast majority of that work has already been completed. Still, it shouldn't have taken so long.

Too many people complain about things when they don't even pay attention to them. It's annoying.
Also wasn’t their scummy GOP governor the cause of the scheme that led to This

I have year end close out duties tomorrow. One of the rare times I have to work weekends.

If we shutdown the director has to handle it. :blessed:
I quit working for the Feds after sequestration. Talk about a clusterfukk. No way I was gonna do twice as much work with only a quarter of our headcount. After they slashed everyone's budget and laid off tons of contractors.

If a shutdown drags on for over a month I can see tons of contractors quitting.

Thank goodness we are not directly affected by it, but we will be indirectly affected. No escaping that this will cause harm to all of us, well except for those pushing for the shutdown.

Amazing how some Republicans argue about government inefficiency, while also being the main ones creating the inefficiency. Yet their supporters do not notice that the very ones complaining about how inefficient the government is, make it that way so they can continue to complain about it.

Shutdown averted. Dems caved on a 45-day stopgap bill.

And I work tomorrow smh.

There was a 34 day shutdown under Trump. I think Newt Gingrich also shut down the government.

He's going to be the next Speaker when the Dems take control of the House in 2024. He's probably the only good communicator that the Dems have besides Pete Buttigeg and Gavin Newsom.

Every time he speaks I expect him to say DEADASS at the end.

The Congresswomen behind him ruined it by the performative clapping.
