this shyt is boring as fukk. im gonna have to watch it again with my girl so i have less distractions but damn i am not interested in this at all.

This is a Sunday after the club in the morNing when you wake up movie.
That 945am to football watch.
Where you would have fallen asleep watching scarface and instead of finishing scarface you put this on.
Bear scene was more vicious in the edge

Kill The Bear - scene from "The Edge" with Anthony Hopkins ...

Worst death in a movie ever by an animal, imo.

Shot chronologically on a 80-days schedule that takes place over a total principal-photography-time-period of 9 months. This unusually long production time is due to the cold weather conditions, the remoteness of the locations and director Alejandro González Iñárritu's and cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki's aesthetic plan to shoot only with natural light for maximum realism. Only a few shooting hours are available every day and have to be carefully planned in advance.

Leonardo DiCaprio had to devoure a raw slab of bison's liver, even though he's vegetarian. He also had to learn to shoot a musket, build a fire, speak two native American Languages (Pawnee and Arikara), and study with a doctor who specializes in ancient healing techniques. DiCaprio calls it the hardest performance of his career.

I was wondering if he ate a real raw piece of bison.
Plus, could you eat a raw piece of bison.
I am not eating a damn thing raw.

I think this is massively underrated on here. I was BLOWN AWAY by the cinematography. The first half hour hooked me but the way they got these shots out in the wild, and the length and difficulty of the takes was just crazy to me. A real benchmark achievement imo.

I also think Leo takes it this year and Hardy could very well too. Not really sure who comes close. Carell in The Big Short for supporting maybe?

I do agree it was slightly too long. I'm not a fan of long movies in general (got cursed with the ADD) but I felt like some of the middle portion could have been sped up and it would have served this movie well.

Nitpick aside this is probably my film of the year brehs :blessed:
