True.
I'm curious what caused us to look at those relationships differently...like what made cultural norms change.
Elvis was getting at Lisa Marie early when she was a teen. Rockstars stayed smashing high school girls. Some of it has logic...since women married earlier back then....there were no 25-year old groupies. They'd already be a SAHM with 3 kids and a hubby comfortably supporting the family on a single income. What's left are widows, college girls that probably had no interest in following a band and then high school girls trying to sow their oats.
The studies showing we aren't fully mature (mentally) until 25 or 26...that seems more recent but something changed in the 70s/early 80s where we realized that 30-year old men messing with 15-year old girls is a problem.
For real
A lot of us old heads probably had great grandparents who met at a younger age.
Different times and mindset is 100% spot on. Was it like that because of economics, and upbringing?
The whole underage groupie thing is baffling. So many that it kind of seems unfair for not holding them to task
“It’s not pedophilia! The legal age in so and so state is 16!”
It’s really horrific that the pedophilies use that as an excuse. And yea, it is pedophilia.
