I don't understand why you nikkas are feeling sorry for him. He is the number 1 actor in Hollywood, if there is a good script, he gets the first read. The idea behind the Oscars, is once you win one, you have potential to make more money and have a better selection of scripts. But he really doesn't have that problem, because he is top dog.

You also have to keep in mind that some people look at supporting Leo i.e watching his films as investing in a product they like and they'd like to see that product win certain accolades because it justifies them spending that much money on the product for whatever reason.

People want to see things they like, do well and be recognized.
