People call him a legend but lets be real there's no classic albums. Dude made multiple runs at being a mainstream artist and didnt cash in until a Bruno Mars feature. Their perception is made by nostalgia of parties and DVD era street gossip.

Truth is it was a fad. Just like Dipset and rocking pink.

10 years from now brehs gonna be trying to put their kids on and make those poor children sit through shyt like this

And while you :banderas: reminiscing about the pretty bytch from 20 years standing by the bar wishing then DJ would play a different song, your poor child gonna be like

:mjtf: "what kinda drugs were yall on back then"

not really.. gucci is way more influential to atlanta acts then dipset is in new york.. thing about how many top artists from atlanta collab with gucci until this day.. gucci has more staying power musically then dipset and that's obvious. Plus he's a much better A&R

So nikkas wont remember gucci for his music, just from getting shoutouts from nostalgic better artists. Got it.

What a legacy:mjlol:

You're the one living in the past. Gucci run was a decade ago :umad: miss me with the "ur mad n old" deflections stanley. Young nikkas not listening to Goofy Mane

Yall giving this dude credit for music that dont sound like his

Production style he aint fukk with

Sound he didnt pioneer

Flows that dont flow like his etc

Thats why you in here juelzing paragraphs of fluff about soundscapes and "influence" that doesnt show up in nobody's music because nobody wants to recreate that garbage. :trash:

"B bu but Quavo listened to gucci in middle school" Nobody cares

Facts is facts bro, I don’t know what to tell you:yeshrug:

You really think mainstream hip hop would sound the way it sound without Gucci’s run in the 2000s?

its def inspired by Dipset originally before he moved away from the crew stuff and more to the A&R, these are my artists sort of thing.

Dipset are pretty much the most beloved/influential NY rap crew in Atlanta, then and with several of the current crop now.

Gucci said himself Cam is an inspiration just like No Limit and Cash Money were an inspiration to Cam
same way Keef and them were inspired by Dipset and G-Unit, the young NY rap crews now were inspired by Keef and his crew etc.

as it should be.

Chief Keef came up with this idea all by himself :troll:

Don’t try to educate him bro, he is clearly a fukkin lame who woke up ready to type paragraphs at men to defend this point.

If you fukk w/ Gucci you do and if you don’t then you’re gonna downplay his music, legacy, etc. The fact that he’s an outsized cultural figure makes those who don’t fukk w/ his music even madder, hence this thread.
