The way the game started was red flags everywhere. Buncha my turn your turn bullshyt lookin like a classic 5pm pick-up game at UofH rec center circa 2005. Jalen is our on-again-off-again village idiot but FVV was on the same shyt, and we expect him to be smarter.

But ultimately, we're overachieving. There's no great matchups for us in the playoffs bc coming into this season we were supposed to be a play-in team on paper. So if we can draw MIN, LAC, or a plummeting MEM, fukk it. This iteration of HOU will come down to what type of leap Amen takes starting next season.

6'11" and gives you ZERO rim presence, won't engage physically for positioning at both ends and has been called soft by his own coach....

....but his feet are magical and his post moves are next level :camby:

Yupp exactly. IMO, there's no way he can be a legit Center in the NBA. With his shortcomings, He has to play the PF position if he wants to survive. Needs to play alongside an athletic rim protecting center at all times. Like a Jaxon Hayes, Clint Capela, Dereck Lively, etc etc

If Houston continues to start him at center for years in the future, it would show they are not serious about contending

So is Reed Shepard not going to play ever? Why is that

Last time I saw him play, it seemed like he lacked the size/strength and was a defensive liability
They got two 1st round picks in this upcoming draft I believe. Not sure how they find minutes for two new guys when Cam Whitmore and Reed Shepard currently can't get on the floor.

Agree but there seems to be a lack of good centers out here. My guess is that they now require them to do so much more than the old textbook definition of their job, same thing with PGs.

I think toughness is something he can work on though, he’s still a kid from the Middle East basically. Might be overwhelmed

Glad Ime benched Jalen. Bro out there wasting time when he had Vincent on him and the second line defender was Luka. Absolutely ridiculous. Let his slow start sap his aggression when he should’ve been crashing out as soon as Hayes hit the bench
Had like three possessions in a row right before he was benched where he immediately gave up the rock with no hesitation. I understand not wanting to shoot your team out of a close game when it's not your night, but you can still drive & kick and try to create. Breh basically tapped out and Ime saw it and went :camby:
