Really hoped that KD would have gotten it but LBJ has been playing amazingly well in the regular season.

In the clutch though... :smugfavre:

The media really should be banned from voting for MVP. They keep changing the criteria each season. I remember when they were giving Steve Nash MVPs over Kobe and Shaq it was because he had a better record.

Now they giving LeBron MVP over Durant even though OKC had a better record. Now all of a sudden it should be based on stats?

The fact LeBron has more MVPs than Shaq and Kobe combined tells you its a bogus award. Kobe had Shaq got 9 titles and 5 finals MVPs between them and only 2 regular season MVPs.

Bron on the other hand has 0 titles, 0 Finals MVPs, and more regular season MVPs than Kobe and Shaq combined.

What the fukk do Finals MVPs and championships have to do with winning REGULAR SEASON awards?

And the Lakers didn't have the best record in the league when Kobe got his MVP award.

Half of the MVP winners the past 10 years were not on a team with the best record so I don't know why people keep bringing that up as if it's an automatic disqualifier

Not surprising, he's pretty much Peyton Manning status when it comes to these. If all else fails he'll pretty much get it.

He deserved it. He was the best player in the NBA this season.

Too bad the best player doesn't always win the award.
