In the reports I read, it said that they kept the injury under wraps cause they didn’t want Golden State to know he was injured, and that he was wearing the soft cast between games. He obviously wouldn’t wear it during the press conferences after games 1-3, to avoid tipping off GS to the injury. He wore it after game 4 cause the serious was over and it didn’t matter if they knew.
