No one's underestimating anything. LeBron himself has said that he wants to be greater than MJ and as of right now he might not be greater than Kobe lowkey, because losing piles up after a while and it comes to a point where you can't gloss over it. Especially now, because the Warriors virtually own him.

You're telling me that LeBron losing two or three more Finals in a row means nothing? Next year, assuming he goes and loses, he would have been to 10 Finals and lost 7. And many of his loses came against certain teams, which is to say that LeBron is very beatable. Are we going to provide caveats for all of these losses?

Bottom line, LeBron's actual stature is starting to diminish, because you can't project him winning more titles to compensate for his actual losses. It's so absurd now that KD might pass LeBron in a couple of years and dip, while LeBron is still wowing everyone all the way up until the Finals...winning does matter, mind you.
