They're probably banking on being able to attract top players from the NBA with money. No salary caps I'm assuming.

I don't see any top 10 player electing to go play in this league even for the money. The competition just won't be there.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic. Stranger things have happened.

Another strategy could be to invest in markets with talent and bring up the level of competition to the point teams in this league can go against the best in the NBA. That would be something.
Well, that would take years/decades of investment to materialize.

The rest of the world who doesn't make a million dollars a year, but wants to. :ld:
There's already basketball leagues in other countries/regions, though.

Lebron is a co-owner of Liverpool F.C. in England.
How he ended up a major shareholder of an English soccer team I have no idea.

Lebron unlike the average coli breh understands that globally, sport is way more massive and lucrative than at home.

This doesn't make sense at all.

Also, who would even play in that league?

there are roughly like 500+ NBA jobs, roughly like 40-60 guys are added a year

while over a thousand college students either graduate or attempt to make it every year.

So basically those hundreds of guys that either don’t make the NBA or D-League (or who don’t wanna play in D-League, and guys that would typically play over seas, and maybe a few guys that was on teams that for some reason out the league and still trynna find opportunities..

Hell maybe Gelo will play, who knows

Don’t have a chance against those joos. Best bet is to set up a grooming/ talent search agency for up and comers and feed the NBA. He can definitely use his experience in the league to force the kids to make the right decisions and protect their wealth. Make it a contract requirement.

The real money is in TV deals. TV deals aren't as lucrative overseas because most countries don't have the amount of excess income and credit that America and UK have to buy stuff. When the audience has less money to spend, companies spend less money on ads. This is why the 10 most valuable sports franchises in the world are all American teams.
