thats waht seperates the best from the rest of the league imo

when nikkas talk like this...i aint even a Bron fan but i respect the way he moves

why would you respect a dude taking a paycut to help an owner save money off the luxury tax penalty? i mean bron and them dudes are bringing him a ton of money with championships, the owner pay the penalty tax

taking pay cuts to make it easier to stack a team isn't admirable either............especially when lebron, even if maxed out, is still a bargain. lebron caliber players taking paycuts messes up the competitive balance of the league....its similar to issues that americans had losing work to illegal immigrants.

i dont see any way to spin this to give him props

If they win two more i think it will make it harder for Bron to leave. But he's clearly giving hints that he's interested in going back to Cleveland from a few articles i have read. If they win this year but falll short in 2014 and he sees a significant decline in Wade or Bosh's play then i could see him leaving then for sure.

scust at bron goin back to cleveland. i dont buy into the anti bron hype,i didnt hate on the decision, n i like seein him win cuz hes one of the best ever. but if he goes back to cleveland after the way they shyt on him, hes a fukkin clown

Did you just compare a top professional athlete who makes million of dollars in salary per year, taking a slight pay cut to migrant workers?

If the CBA says that a player is only allowed to make X amound of dollars, then that fukks up the competitive balance of the league

the fact that they make millions is irrelevant bruh

Miami pays Lebron 18 mil a year
OKC pays durant 18 mil a year

New York pays Amare 18 mil a year
Houston pays James Harden 18 mil a year
Memphis pays Rudy gay 18 mil a year

how are teams supposed to compete with Miami and OKC if they have to pay fringe all stars the same salary that OKC and Miami get to pay all time greats? Factor in lebron taking a paycut and it makes it even more ridiculous. The NBA CBA goes against the model of capitalism.

players taking less than market value throws off competitive balance......just like illegal immigrants doing work for extremely low wages makes it hard for people to compete with them for jobs.

zIs that player optinos or team options in 2013. Ideally, Miami will part ways with Wade. he's fallin off the quickest of the three.

if no cba.. i could c lebron gettin 50million.

but then only lakers/knicks/mavs/nets in finals every year.. whoever has the most money.

I doubt it plus Dolan is too cheap to cheap.

Take a look at the Yankees from 2002 and beyond, so much money spent and only 1 WS title to show.

i really could see Lebron thinking and singing with the Celtics because if you think about it all their big contracts will be gone at the time and they are building a young deep roster and Lebron has already been in the perfect market living the lifestyle in Miami so coming to a city like Boston when he was already in Cleveland wouldnt be a big deal to him plus i think he would look really good in green and he could even keep his number to i think it makes total sense because he could get all the money he needed plus he will be in a big market and get more deals and more endorsments and i really think the crowd would like him here esp if he hits threes and gives back to the kids in the barber shops like he does in Miami plus he will be within hours of NYC so he could make power moves with jay z down there anytime he wants the only thing he might have to get used to is some snow but heck we havent had a snow accumilation in like 3 years so maybe global warming is true because it is actually kind a nice out now but i also always noticed he seems to dribble in the garden better im not sure if its the parque floors but he always has an extra pep to his bounce but think about it if he came to the Celtics for a few years he could get some championships and raise MORE banners and he would be known as the king of banners and such and why wouldnt he want to go to a franchise such as boston who is been know for so long as a franchise like i said he could always keep his home in miami and we play there a couple times a year so he could always go back and check on his property to make sure they are keeping the bushes trimmed and the pool clean and dont you think he also wants to go back to buy himself instead of needing all of those guys to win?

Agreed

Factor in lebron taking a paycut and it makes it even more ridiculous.
:beli: What does Lebron's 10% paycut have to do w/any of this?

The NBA CBA goes against the model of capitalism.
No question:myman:

players taking less than market value throws off competitive balance......just like illegal immigrants doing work for extremely low wages makes it hard for people to compete with them for jobs.
:smugfavre:

The reason this is a poorly thought out analogy is that nobody wants to do the jobs most illegal immigrants are. They're not "taking away" jobs from anybody. After Alabama Immigration Law, Few Americans Taking Immigrants' Work

More to the point Lebron or anybody else taking 17.5 million per year instead of 19.5 million is not a problem. If he was taking 10 million, you might have a point. Ray Allen took half what Boston was offering from the Heat, yet you complain about Lebron?:stopitslime:

1 person affects a basketball game much more than a baseball game

Would him going back to Cleveland be anymore of a suprise than him going to Miami? I fukk with Lebron hard, but he's an of the moment type nikka. And if Cleveland is thriving and he feels he can put them over the hump i definitely feel he will go back. And with the Cavs he'll have his run of the team again, which Pat doesn't let him do with the entourages and the staying an extra night after a game when there in certain cities.
