Such a gracious King.

Florida having no state income tax is a big bonus too, even with taking less than the max down here, they're still probably making around the same amount they would have had they signed somewhere else for the max.

I just can't imagine Lebron or Wade leaving here. Lebron's been through it once before and he saw the backlash. Dude has entrenched himself within the community already and been embraced, I doubt he'd wanna go through that again. Not to mention the fact that last I checked, Dan Gilbert still owned the Cavs, so he damn sure ain't going back to Cleveland.

Wade is the 2nd most iconic player in the history of South Florida sports after Marino, dude would be dumb to go anywhere else unless some team was dumb enough to offer him a max deal when he opts out.

I could see Bosh going elsewhere, but honestly, he's all about flying under the radar and I don't think he even wants the pressure of being the alpha dog on a team. He gets to chill down here and I think his role will gradually increase as Wade gets older. The true all time greats don't just bounce around from team to team in the prime of their careers like that, I would think these three want to cultivate their legacy together, and when taking the state income tax, Mickey Arison being a great owner, and living in Miami into account, they'd be dumb to go anywhere else.

Miami will have the most cap space in the nba summer '14 if they all opt out

They can resign lebron and bring in younger talent

Yeah, Miami has nothing to worry about. Pat Riley gave Lebron the team of his dreams. He can do it again.

LeBron James said:
"I have not had a full max deal yet in my career -- that's a story untold," James said.
"I don't get (the credit) for it. That doesn't matter to me, playing the game is what matters to me. Financially, I'll sacrifice for the team. It shows for some of the top guys, it isn't all about money. That's the genuine side of this, it's about winning. I understand that."

:what::leostare::stopitslime:

It's not like the guy CHOSE to take less money so he could go to MIA and bandwagon onto a team with 2 other All-Stars. I mean, it's not like he had a TV special about it, donating the proceeds to kids, to show everybody what a gracious guy he is. :childplease:

It's pathetic that a guy has to try to be "humble," to the media by calling out his "low" salary. The reason you don't get credit for it is because you made the CHOICE to take less money...

If I turned down a job paying me $100K to go work a job for "only" $80K, but I get to work with my friends at this lower paying job, people would laugh at me if I said some shyt like "nobody gives me credit for taking the lower paying job..."

LeBron's trying to give himself props over not having something he directly turned down, so he could win a championship. :pacspit:

If Kobe said some shyt like this, we all know the thread title would be something along the lines of "Kobe crying he gets no credit for taking $3Mil less to bandwagon!!!" I'm pretty sure most guys making over $40Mil a year would easily give back some 2-3 million per if it guaranteed them winning AT LEAST 1 title. And this dude wants a cookie for it?

I don't care how much you make. Giving up 10+ mill shows you care about something more than just money.

Of course he did not lie. Dude is under paid. And James is right he does not get enough credit for taking a pay cut.

When Brady took less with the Pats it was always brought up how he took less for the team. The same should be said for Brons unselfishness..

I will never understand the hate Bron gets. The guy is a class act all the way around..
