8 months ago Pippen HIMSELF said he wants his own legacy to be that of “The Greatest Player Of All Time”
So is it Big Pimpin or Me And My Girlfriend?
We all know what this is about. Scottie’s ego won’t allow him to ever admit it but he’s been in Jordan’s shadow his ENTIRE adult life and now Jordan is sanctioning Pippen’s further humiliation by allowing his own child to turn the man’s ex wife every which way BUT loose. It cannot go understated how fundamentally evil that is.
Michael Jordan is more than likely a horrible human being, greatest player of all time certainly, but beyond sports integrity there doesn’t seem to be much honor to him. Scottie has a right to be angry, and perhaps a little resentful, but what he himself fails to understand is that he’ll NEVER change the course of public discourse, no matter what he says. Michael paid all costs to the be the boss when it comes to Jersey number 23 and his status will NEVER be jeopardized. Scottie is better off not even speaking on Jordan if he wanted to be known as his own man. Constantly comparing Michael and Lebron just comes off like hating and the Jordan machine is going to make SURE it comes off that way.
Jordan is one of the worst GMs/talent evaluators in the NBA. He should be thankful that he never played in this era cause he would pick some dogchit teammates all because they went to UNCPippen my favorite athlete ever, but fukk all that right now.
He soundin' like a hoe. MJ a "horrible player"????
I hope Future drops a huge single and get MJ to make a cameo in the video
michael averaged his highest ppg without scottie lol .... michael just needed someone competent to be a small forward b. he needed competent teammates. the bulls roster that mike started with was drastically different than the one he started with lolWho cares if a current #2 can do it? In the 1990s, Scottie was literally the ONLY forward in the NBA with that skillset. No one else was defending multiple positions at a GOAT level while also being an elite facilitator, a capable #1 option, and a floor spacer.
Scottie's skill set meant that MJ could lay back and be a secondary facilitator and #3 or #4 defender, rather than having to take the lead on both of those. It meant that the Bulls could put a pure shooter like Paxson or Armstrong or Kerr at the other guard spot, and it didn't hurt the offense cause Scottie was facilitating anyway. It meant that the Bulls could put a defense-focused player with size like Harper there too, and it still didn't hurt the team cause Scottie had the passing and scoring taken care of and was stretching the floor himself. It meant the Bulls could play a no-defense scorer like Kukoc at the other forward spot and Scottie would take care of forward defense, or a no-offense forward like Rodman there, cause Scottie had the offensive responsibilities handled.
Let's pretend that MJ got a different sidekick instead of Scottie. Who were the elite small forwards of the early 1990s not named Scottie Pippen? We're talking guys like Dominique Wilkins, Glen Rice, Chris Mullin, Jerome Kersey, Chuck Person.
Well, none of those guys can distribute. So now the Bulls have to get a pass-first point guard to put next to MJ. They can't just grab yet another #1/#2 option, they're gonna be stuck with some Bimbo Coles or John Bagley type, someone who can't space the floor and shoot the ball nearly as well as Paxson or Armstrong or Kerr. And now since MJ is next to both a SF and a PG who can't defend wings at an elite level, he's gonna be responsible for ALL the elite defense. Either he's gonna have to defend the other team's star all game, or they're gonna go off. And it was so disruptive to other offenses when they had Pippen and MJ causing problems simultaneously, but now it's just MJ by himself and he's gonna be tired too.
That's the difference Pippen makes. He increased the roster versatility, he improved the spacing, he vastly increased the defense, and he kept MJ fresh on both ends to focus on scoring, all while being just as good a scorer himself as nearly all the other elite SFs of his day.
And what did Mike accomplish without Pip? He was a ball hogging loser that could barely win a seriesPippen is ungrateful Robin.
Without Mike he would be a Shawn Kemp status at best. Pippen damn near played for Seattle in two occasions. One when he got drafted and two when Bulls and Sonics were near a trade agreement.
Mike made Pippen. What has Pippen done without Mike? He was in his physical prime watching Kukoc hit that shot and watching Knicks finally eliminate the Bulls. Then after Mike retired from Chicago he went ring chasing in Houston and Portland. How did that work out? Exactly.
Half of the Bulls team in 1984 were doing cocaine like they about to hit Wrestlemania, and you wanted Mike to have deep playoff runs with those bums? Yeah right.
Man if pippen lived under the same circumstances as the players who get bashed playing next to Bron they would have flipped pippen for other players after the 2nd loss to Detroit in the playoffs lolImagining the fukkery if AD missed a game 7 because of a migraine like Pip did.
Mike in a point guard role, for the short period time, was averaging triple double numbers, Yeah sure a ball hogger. Those years he lost the two best teammates were Oakley and Paxson. You go win with those. And what did Mike accomplish without Pip? He was a ball hogging loser that could barely win a series
Pippen and Phil made Mike
