Giannis has nothing remotely like Bron's passing, shooting, leadership, or diversity in his scoring game. And Giannis doesn't control the pace of the game and dissect teams the way Bron does. On top of that, how can you say something stupid like "Bron don't even attempt to play defense" when that shyt hasn't been true since 2018/19? Bron has been fantastic on defense, they've literally been calling him an All-Defensive Team candidate the last two years

He's an active player, and should be judged by the same standards as other active players this season.
That's the only way it's consistent. Otherwise you have scenarios like in other sports where younger guys have better seasons and/or team success, but lose out on accolades to established players.
What he's done in the game and means to the league might count if you need a tie breaker between a vet and a new guy with equal seasons. But other than that, judge players fairly and evenly.

nikkas acting like Giannis is some scrub. I don’t know how you could deny that Giannis wouldn’t have at least 1 ring if he played with a another top 10 player.
It’s the same thing they did with bron when he was in Cleveland the first time it’s hilarious. Bron not carrying teams anymore he realized that’s not how you win you need superstars giannas hasn’t realized that yet but he is def a better player than bron right now and this year I’m sorry.
You might be too young to know better given how much you hate on early 2000s legends like T-Mac, Vince, and A.I., but those of us in the know remember those debates. Kobe vs LeBron was the main debate back then. Go back and look up old First Take footage on ESPN of Skip Bayless arguing against guys like Chris Broussard. Kobe had the players, coaches, and GMs saying he was the best. He also had the rings. Very similar to the position Bron is at right now. Bron on the other hand had the numbers gong for him. Similar to Giannis, Embiid, and Luka do right now. Bron stans like @Rhakim used to focus almost exclusively on these stats to argue Bron was better despite the fact everyone in the NBA (including LeBron) was saying Kobe was the best.
I just find the switch up now that Bron is in Kobe's position as the OG in the league coming from Bron stans to be hilarious. All those years of just talking numbers but now they wanna mention GMs and players when it comes to determining whose the best.
