This is a power move of the magnitude we haven't seen in sports in years, maybe even a decade. There are levels to this shyt.

1. He invalidates one of the biggest arguments against him - ie that he "betrayed" his home town.

2. The city and entire state are in his pockets now

3. All he has to do is win one championship for Cleveland in order to be a legend

4. He's going to own a part of the team soon, and might even be in position to buy the team in 15-20 years.
