I'm sorry but this is just false.

There were tons of people discrediting Kobe and claiming he was overrated or not a GOAT contender when he was still living. He had tons of stans too but that's what polarizing means. It means that people either love you or hate you without much nuance. It doesn't mean that you're widely disliked. Obviously, Kobe had tons of fans.

This definitely applied to Kobe because the rape trial soured his image among many people and lead to sports media downplaying him and there were tons of NBA fans who felt like Shaq gave him his first 3 rings, that Duncan was a better player in the 2000's, that he was a ballhog, a Jordan copycat who couldn't compare to the real deal, that he was never the best player in any given year, etc.

I remember these discussions being very frequent in basketball when Kobe was still living. Obviously, there were people who were praising him and calling him a GOAT too but it wasn't as universal as what you're saying.

Hell, I remember there was a corny joke that was widespread online back in the 2000's talking about how, when Kobe dies, his tombstone would say "He finally passed."

Kobe pre-death was the definition of "hate him or love him." He had tons of haters in sports media and basketball forums who were discrediting him and claiming that he was barely top 10. And they'd always claim that Duncan was better.
Kobe was not hate him or love him at this stage.

That was dope. Most hoops pods are just recaps of the week or some goofy shyt but it’s nice seeing the game being broken down.

Now we need some NFL, MLB & NHL players to do something like this.
What was dope about this?

He's been that way for years. There's been plenty of time with like 35 seconds on the clock and he'll stand at the top of the key just dribbling the air out the ball and trying to run a play. I could see not wanting to just run down and fire up a shot but he'll ignore the two for one when there is plenty of time to get a good look and still preserve the two for one.

I've seen people do the two for one and end up taking two low quality shots instead of one good one. If that's the case I agree with Lebron.

I also think like them you have to be cognizant of time, score, momentum etc.

I also agree. Rondo is at the top of my list for coaching candidates

On KRS One's nose, eating sunflower seeds.
you do realize two people may have different opinions about things, right?
Not up here. God forbid that you don’t really like the combo of Bron and JJ on this podcast, you’d be labeled as a hater with baggage :pachaha:

With that said, a NFL version with Cam Newton and Ray Lewis or Ed Reed would be dope.

Too big of a chess game. Individual tells about assignments, alignments and techniques would get shutdown by the player's team.

I can't isolate a WR on a D-Tackle, lol. You can only exploit space consistently and then you looking for an edge against similar physical ability players. TE is probably the only spot for a consistent mismatch if faster than a LB and bigger than a safety and other folks in the secondary, imo.

Agreed. But at least give yourself a shot by attacking as soon as you get the ball. If a good shot presents itself take it. Lebron won't even try to generate any kind of shot and will stay out on the perimeter just dribbling the ball and not even attempting to see what kind of look they can get.
