Hopefully the UFC can get some world class strikers because unless there are constant submission attempts and intensity like Ronda Rousey that ground fighting ish puts me to sleep

He didn't finish him though. There was still A LOT of fight left and anything could've happened.

Vitor can beat Weidman. He's an animal and ever since he started incorporating kicks into his game he's looked unstoppable.

Of course, anything could've happened, but from what did happen, we can see that Weidman was the better fighter.

:childplease: We leaving out the TRT now??? He has looked great with the TRT, but I still see Weidman doing the same thing Couture did with his wrestling and wear down Vitor, and that's when Vitor usually breaks and loses, I still think he is the same old Vitor mentally imo. Hopefully the winner of Machida-Mousasi gets the title shot after.

He's not the first one to do that to Silva. No reason to think he's special.
Exactly. Travis Lutter had Anderson on his back landing punches, and Spider subsequently submitted him. Sonnen dominated him for 24 fukkin minutes, and he got submitted. Even Dan Henderson dominated him in the first round of their fight.

Anything can happen, but from what we saw from both fights, it showed that Weidman was the better fighter. Weidman was winning the first fight and then proceeded to KO Anderson. In the second fight, he almost KO'd him again. All signs point to Weidman being the better fighter.
sonnen dropped Anderson multiple times in their 1st fight and controlled the 1st rd of the 2nd fight if one got up and never viewed the end of both fights using your logic they would assume sonnen is the better fighter, which for anyone that did see the end of the fight knows isn't true.Your logic is flawed

But none of them were that close to finishing him. Weidman was very, very close to finishing the fight. Hats off to Anderson though, he showed excellent recovery.

Vitor is still fast as ever and Weidman is gonna have to risk catching haymakers to be able to wear him down.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I can't imagine what pain Silva is in, has anyone ever experienced a break like that and how would you describe the sensation?
I did my arm like that, just hanging off, tbh, setting it is what hurts the worst, honestly, I was in shock when mine happened (car accident) and it didnt really kill until they set it like I said, the, that pain is terrible, you earn the drugs

The D (where it's so cold)
I am not the biggest Silva fan, but fukk this is a huge blow. shyt is going to be like WWE in 96/02

My guess is there will be more free fights than we would usually get and Dana goes into his war chest and steal talent from the competition. Steal back I should say, just like TNA, UFC's competition is made up of fighters that had to take (or didn't want to) paycuts in the UFC, Dana just has to pay them now.

Dana will just have cards with more fights on them to buy him sometime while up-and-comers become established names, the UFC will be fine. At best all this does is allow someone like Bellator to have better PPVs with their MMA legends and steal some money away from the UFc. Because right now Bellator has all the recognizable names like Rampage and Tito that most casual fight fans know so I could see alot of traffic going their way. World Series Of Fighting has some talent too. But still UFC is king but with GSP and Silva gone that UFC roster is lacking.

yeah the roster is lacking of stars, but they still have more talent than any other organization, so I have no doubts that new stars will emerge . I feel like that this is the transitional era of the sport where all the older stars are on the way out and the new guys/girls are making a name for themselves. Silva and GSP have been stars of the sport for nearly at decade right when the MMA wave took off in '05/06. Dana just gonna have to weather the storm and hope that no other star gets hurt.

But with this going on, I'll probably be watching more underground mma (to keep eye on who's the hottest prospect) and some boxing.
