The D (where it's so cold)
The UFC will be alright......yeah most casuals that only watch for GSP and Silva might no longer watch since they're done but more stars will emerge.

The irony is that both guys was supposed to have that super fight a few years ago that would've been the biggest in MMA history and they're both done.

Weidman got the cacs behind him, so he'll get a boost of popularity. Ronda still there. JBJ has taken Silva's spot as the top dawg, but has to finish his opponents more excitingly. You also got cats like McGregor thats gonna become a huge star at FW, but he's hurt. There's still alot of exciting fighters in the company, but its gonna take time for them to get at the same level of popularity GSP and Silva were at.

I'll still watch.....I'm not gonna quit watching otherwise, though its a sad day for MMA.

Dana will just have cards with more fights on them to buy him sometime while up-and-comers become established names, the UFC will be fine. At best all this does is allow someone like Bellator to have better PPVs with their MMA legends and steal some money away from the UFC. Because right now Bellator has all the recognizable names like Rampage and Tito that most casual fight fans know so I could see alot of traffic going their way. World Series Of Fighting has some talent too but still UFC is king but with GSP and Silva gone that UFC roster is lacking.

:to: Sad way for the GOAT to go out. :sadcam: Even as an Anderson fan, Weidman is just a bad match-up due to his wrestling and he has power in his hands. :damn: It would be great if Anderson made a comeback, but he would be 40 by the time he recovers, and his walkout when he was just chilling and sitting down for a minute is looking :demonic: right now. :salute: Great to watch the GOAT fight. And for Weidman, I think he beats TRT Belfort the same way Couture beat him the twice. But, :obama: a fight with the winner between Machida-Mousasi does sound good on paper.

Up until that injury both fights have proven that Weidman is the better fighter.
:rudy: lookin at 4 and 3/4 rounds of the 1st fight and the 1st round of the 2nd fight of sonnen/silva one could make a hasty opinion but as the record clearly shows sonnen is 0-2 against Anderson.Anything can happen in mma u are better than that :beli:

I can't imagine what pain Silva is in, has anyone ever experienced a break like that and how would you describe the sensation?

"The pain was unbelievable, it snapped like a breadstick. It sounded like two muzzled gunshots off my left shoulder. Pow, pow!" Theisman said during a 2005 interview.[14] "It was at that point, I also found out what a magnificent machine the human body is. Almost immediately, from the knee down, all the feeling was gone in my right leg. The endorphins had kicked in, and I was not in pain."[13]

Up until that break, Weidman was clearly winning the fight. He was very close to finishing Anderson in the first. How does that do nothing for him?

Anything can happen, but from what we saw from both fights, it showed that Weidman was the better fighter. Weidman was winning the first fight and then proceeded to KO Anderson. In the second fight, he almost KO'd him again. All signs point to Weidman being the better fighter.

He didn't finish him though. There was still A LOT of fight left and anything could've happened.

Vitor can beat Weidman. He's an animal and ever since he started incorporating kicks into his game he's looked unstoppable.
